Skyhook Helicopters We are the UK's premier utility helicopter service provider, specialising in aerial lifting.

Skyhook Helicopters is a new business based in North Argyll on the West Coast of Scotland. As the name suggests the principal activity we carry out is the lifting of external loads (Sling loading). These loads can vary from buckets of concrete and aggregates to mechanical equipment, fencing materials or even livestock. Our business is all about logistics with a difference, we can deliver to anywhere, the service we provide is literally a hook that hangs from the Sky! Our helicopter is an Airbus AS350 B3 and is a modern FADEC controlled aircraft, which enables us to lift loads of approximately 1200Kgs.

We’re very pleased to welcome Michael “Mikey” Menarry back to Skyhook Helicopters after gaining valuable flying experience in Canada.

Mikey originally joined us as groundcrew before moving into our operations department from 2021 until 2024.

It’s fantastic to have him back, this time as a Junior Line Pilot, and we’re looking forward to supporting him as he works through his HESLO qualifications and continues to develop his flying career with us.

Welcome back, Mikey, great to have you home!
