Thank you to everyone who came along on Saturday & Sunday to try out our New 6 Hole Par 3 Course 👏

A special thanks goes to our team of volunteers who worked extremely hard in having the course ready for play.

We received positive feedback and comments from adults and children.
✅ Really good fun
✅ Good fun for younger people
✅ Maybe longer holes?
✅ Good short course
✅ Course will improve after each cut

📢 Since you all enjoyed..we have decided that this weekend : Saturday 5th & Sunday 6th September, we will be offering the same deal:
Play 6 Hole, Par 3 Course and get a Hot Roll, Hot or Cold Drink for £6
No need to book, just turn up between 10.30am & 2.30pm

The past few weeks, our Volunteers have been working extremely hard: cutting fairways, making tees, greens & painting markers. 👏

📢 We can now announce that his Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th August, we are ready to Open our 6 Hole, Par 3 Course. ⛳ 👏

We would like to thank everyone who came along yesterday to see our Vision 2027.

Dr William Carr opened and played the first of the 4 holes of our new planned 6 hole par 3 course.
Dr Carr likes the fact he could get his mobility scooter around the course with ease.

Other members of the public (adults & kids) tried out the 4 holes and commented they can't wait for it to be completed and found that it will be easier for the kids to engage with.

After speaking to various members of the public, and explaining our vision, the other all feedback was extremely positive for the future of the golf club.

Some of the comments are:
✅ Mobility friendly.
✅ Looking forward to using the Dog Play Area.
✅ Can't wait to get exclusive access to the Practice Area to improve my short game.
✅ Can't wait until April to try out the Crazy Golf. It will be awesome.

As per our Last Club Statement 31st July 2026.

The committee, members and volunteers have been meeting up to put together the plans for achieving our exciting/redevelopment plans for our vision 2027.

Work has started on these exciting projects and will be fully in place by April 2027.

So, if you want to know what these projects are...pop into the clubhouse tomorrow (Saturday 15th August) as they will all be on display.

Our Summer 2026 PGA Golf Coaching has come to an end.

We had several returning Juniors & Adults come along to learn golfing skills and have had the opportunity to put these into practice on the golf course over the Summer Holidays.

Thank you to Martin (PGA) Coach for putting everyone through their paces. Our aim is to have Martin back for the Summer 2027.
