MATCH REPORT | FIFE FRYERS 5–1 GLASGOWS
The boys were back in action on Sunday as Fife Fryers welcomed Glasgow Titans to the blistering heat of Costa del Glenrothes at the Michael Woods Sports & Leisure Centre.
It wasn't the start the Fryers were looking for, finding themselves 1–0 down inside the first two minutes after a beautifully placed free kick sailed beyond our keeper.
But the Fryers weren't going to let that spoil the afternoon.
It didn't take long for Graham Lowson to level things up, firing a long-range effort into the back of the net to make it 1–1.
Then, barely a minute later, the Fryers turned the game on its head.
Captain Drew Cunningham popped up to put us 2–1 ahead, with the assist coming from none other than Dave "Fife Fryers All-Time Leading Top Goalscorer" Farmer.
The Fryers went into half-time with a 2–1 lead and the wind firmly behind their sails.
The second half got underway and it wasn't long before the Fryers were awarded a penalty after a foul on Cammy in the box.
There was absolutely no denying the contact… although the subsequent fall to the ground may have been enough to earn Tom Daley a gold medal at the next Olympics.
Cammy wasn't interested in the theatrics, however, calmly stepping up and slotting the penalty home to make it 3–1 Fryers.
As the second half wore on tired legs were appearing all over the park for both teams.
But just when it looked like the game was going to peter out, Craig Frame kept his cool in the 90th minute, producing a calm, composed finish to make it 4–1, with Graham Lowson picking up the assist.
And because apparently four wasn't enough, the Fryers were awarded another penalty late on.
This time, manager George Wilson stepped up.
What followed can only be described as the longest run-up in football history. After what felt like approximately 17 business days, George eventually reached the ball and calmly slotted it home to complete the scoring. 😂

The boys are back at training this week as we prepare for our next game away to Helensburgh on the 20th.
