There's a moment on the Knoydart traverse when the last familiar landmark disappears behind you.

The path narrows, the weight of your pack settles in, and the only way forward is through the mountains. It's one of those rare corners of Britain that genuinely earns its reputation for remoteness.

We travel in by train from Glenfinnan, then spend several days moving through some of the finest wild terrain in Scotland — remote glens, river crossings, wild camps under open skies, and a finish by ferry from Inverie.
