A HIIT class full of happiness today, maybe because it’s a bank holiday Monday… or maybe it’s my 80’s HIIT class😂

I had to commemorate today’s class as everyone brought their A-game! HIIT is my favourite class to teach because of the energy and the people who attend. Every week I see them breakthrough and go beyond what they did the previous week- all whilst they’ve got a smile on their face, or can share a laugh with their fellow sweaty neighbour. What a pleasure it is to see their growth, in confidence and fitness, each class!

Shaz has been on an incredible run since the start of February! Recently doing her new PB of 60kg deadlifts after weeks of resilience and focus to get the deadlift form nailed! Her dedication to the program has been amazing and can be seen in her transformation. When we started, Shaz told me about her nerves being in the gym at busy times but after a few weeks training together, that all changed!

As of this morning at 5am, Shaz also completed 3 unassisted dips, and 1 unassisted fabulous chin up! She is unlocking so many goals for herself and now aims to do a freestanding-handstand, which is a work in progress. What a force of nature, constantly showing up with energy, curiosity and passion, WELL DONE SHAZ!

Come and join a community lifting session- LADIES ONLY🌸💪🏻 This Sunday for International Women’s Day 🤩🏋🏼‍♀️

Whether you new to the gym or have been coming for awhile, this is a great opportunity to meet other ladies and have a laugh while we do Squats, Deadlifts or Bench Press. You don’t have to lift if you don’t want to either, just come and meet a few new faces.

Small Group Personal Training Sunrise and Sunset Training Club

For the past month, I’ve been training 3 fabulous ladies together, but each with their own specific workouts and goals. Each session has been super fun and each week has seen progress for all of them! Don’t just take my word for it, here’s Kate on her experience of the training club:

At Puregym Glastonbury, you can book for a group training taster Wednesday 4th March however if you can’t make it that, you can book a free 1-1 PT taster with me to meet me and find out more about Group Training.

I’m opening the waitlist for a second group and when that 4th space is filled, that’s it! I aim for sessions are likely to be 5:30pm on Mondays/5:30pm Thursdays/ 12:30pm Saturdays but these are discussable to the 4 people who sign up.

🔥Monday's HIIT🔥

Currently I'm focusing on fat loss and maintaining the muscle I've been building this past year.
My new split is 3 HIIT sessions and 2 strength sessions a week. I love HIIT for getting a sweat session on but also to squeeze in some moves that don't fit into my strength routines. I follow tabata style training at the minute and trying to do as many rounds as I can.

Box jump burpees- to be honest I love Burpees but so I don't get bored of them, I use the box jumps just to spice it up and make it even more fun. Watching this back I could definitely get lower into my box landings

Raised Heel Goblet Squats- using these to keep training my range of motion but without the heavy load. A good leg burner following the box jumps

Ski Erg stints- Not much to say except, Ski Erg you have my heart 🥹

Plank Jacks- don't love these, might switch them to plank twists, but they serve as my core exercise so abs get some attention in this workout

DB Chest Flys- this is a movement that id normally put in my strength workout but it's so full already and I'm wanting to work the chest more so here it is in HIIT. Not a heart raiser but one to add to muscular fatigue, especially in the burpees
