Penalty Nightmares Put to Bed! 😱⚽️
What a morning for the boys! 🔵⚪️
Penalties haven’t always been kind to Bedlay, but today we finally turned the tables in dramatic fashion! With just one spot-kick away from defeat, the boys showed incredible composure to turn the tie around and get the job done. 💪
It wasn’t our best performance, but after being in action 5 times in the last 8 days, the boys deserve plenty of credit. And the reward? We’re now just ONE point away from an incredible FOUR SEMI-FINALS IN A ROW! 🤯👏
A few special mentions today:
⭐️ Zak – thrown into the mix early and handled a tough game brilliantly with his trademark quick, controlled passing.
🧱 Daniel – another rock-solid performance at centre-back. Picking up right where he left off last season.
⚽️ Lewis McLeod – an unbelievable goal and his determination was exactly what we needed when the game was on the line.
🎯 All our penalty takers – huge credit for stepping up under pressure. Special congratulations to Archie for a sweet strike and Austin for the glory kick! You deserve that moment, wee man! 👏
🧤 Ryan – take a bow! A Panenka penalty followed by TWO penalty saves to swing the tie back in our favour. Absolutely different class! 👏🔥
Today was a good lesson that we can’t switch off for even a second. Plenty to think about, but most importantly, we found a way to win.
Another step forward. Another big moment for this amazing squad!!
