💯 Elsie joins the 100 club 💯

Our Milan Captain, Elsie, will make her 100th appearance for Newcastle City Juniors on Sunday in our league game against Whickham FC Blacks.

Elsie joined City as an U8, one of the first to join our newly formed Pumas team at the time. What Elsie has gone on to achieve for us in that time is nothing short of remarkable. Made Captain at the start of last season, she took on the responsibility perfectly and never takes the importance of her role for granted. Leading by example in every training session and every match. She may be the smallest in height, but she’s the biggest of personalities and she lifts every one around her with her presence.

Here’s some highlights of Elsie’s first 100 in black and white:

- 2x Sunday Boys/Mixed League Winner
- 1x Saturday Girls League Winner

⚫️⚪️ We are delighted to welcome Rosie to Newcastle City Juniors for the 2026/27 season ⚫️⚪️

Rosie is a player that we have been interested in bringing in to the group for a while and we’re excited to finally get the agreement. Rosie joins our U12 Juve team having played with a number of the girls for the past 18 months. Retained in the summer by Durham, moving up to their U12 squad, Rosie will now be playing a year up on both Saturdays & Sundays.

Rosie comes straight in to the squad for this Sundays County Cup fixture and we’re really excited with what she’ll bring to our group 💪🏼

⚽️ U10 Milan vs Team Gosforth Feyenoord

Magic from our Midfield Maestro. Ayla picks up the award from the opposition coaches for their Girl of the Game.

Ayla was given the challenge of playing her role in a different way in this game and she absolutely smashed it. Ruthless in her defending, controlling the middle of the pitch in possession, dictating the play and also contributing with 2 long range goals 💪🏼

The first, cutting outside on her right and whipping a ball high and just under the crossbar, a corker! 💨

The second, a perfectly placed strike direct from a free kick on the edge of the box. Picking her spot and sending a missile in to the top corner 🚀

Ayla expertly understood what we wanted from her and delivered a stand out performance. Top class as always 🖤🤍

🏅 Referee’s Girl of the Game

⚽️ U10 Milan vs Team Gosforth Feyenoord

She’s at it again! A second straight game, our Olivia picks up the recognition from the Referee and picks up a Girl of the Game award.

Olivia managed to get on the scoresheet with a brilliantly instinctive finish on the edge of the box, placing the ball in to the bottom corner. However, it was Olivia’s defensive efforts that caught the eye.

An outstanding sprint back the length of the pitch in the first half to get a toe in at the last moment and block a shot whilst the scores were level. A key moment in the game. In the second half, Olivia was everywhere and constantly rising to every battle. Calm as ever on the ball, Olivia expertly played us out of danger several times and turned defence in to attack throughout the second period.

Another excellent performance, well done Olivia 🖤🤍

⚽️ U12 Juve vs New Fordley Blues

Heidi’s performance on Sunday was one that you just have to applaud. Recognised several times throughout the game by the opposition, Heidi was the pick without hesitation from their coaches for their Girl of the Game.

A warrior-like performance at Right Back, never shying away from a battle and winning every dual. Heidi was also brave in getting forward and adding to our attack. Moved into a central role in the latter stages of the game, Heidi dug in deep and left every ounce of energy on the pitch, fighting for everything.

An outstanding performance. Well done, Heidi 🖤🤍

⚽️ U12 Juve vs New Fordley Blues

A standout performance from Amelia on her league debut for us, who got the nod from the referee as their pick for our Girl of the Game!

An excellent performance in Centre Midfield, where Amelia showed her quality in abundance. Calm in possession, linking up play and displaying her outstanding technical ability to dance around defenders.

We knew that Amelia would bring invaluable experience to the team and she made an immediate impact, helping her teammates to a well earned victory.

⚽️ Lola bags 150!! ⚽️

An absolutely outstanding achievement, Lola bagged her 150th goal for our group today in our game against Team Gosforth Feyenoord!

A player for the big occasions, Lola has scored some huge goals for us in key moments amongst those 150.

A goal at the death last season that effectively wrapped up the league title. THAT goal in Sheffield on our way to winning the Northern area title and notching in every league game so far this season. Lola’s 149th was against U12 Boys, probably becoming the youngest goalscorer in the U12 league.

Lola has found the net for us in games against Newcastle United, Sheffield United, Workington Girls Academy, Hamilton Academical & Heart of Midlothian.

A top player, bringing up a seriously impressive milestone. Well done Lola, fantastic work 🖤🤍
