This is the last morning I’ll be opening the balcony doors to this beautiful view.
The past six weeks have been a bit of a rollercoaster and the longest I’ve ever taken my business on the road.
If you’ve been following along, you’ll know the trip started with our car breaking down almost as soon as we left British soil.
After some speedy roadside assistance, we made it to our cosy cottage in the South of France and quickly got into a nice rhythm. Sunny days, fresh local food, and the perfect balance of work and rest - coaching clients and running workshops from my little desk, with the doors open wide to the stunning French countryside.
Then things shifted when one of our sweet dogs became unwell, and sadly we lost him quickly and he passed far too young.
It hit us all hard. And poor Finn had never known life without his little furry friend. Still, such is life, we carried on, just the three of us and spent the final part of the trip exploring the area around Valencia.
Overall, we’ve had a wonderful time. Long walks on the beach before starting the working day. Late evening swims at the end of it.
Coming home without Harris feels bittersweet, but I’m so glad we took the trip as it’s all part of our plan for a more flexible way of working.
On yesterday’s morning walk, we got talking to a guy from San Francisco. He and his family are on the last leg of a 12-month trip around the world. Now – there’s an idea!
Life’s too short to keep putting things off!
Looking forward to getting back to Scotland early next week. The sun is still shining there... right? 👀
