Whitacres Wolves 2015s New Community football club based in South side of Glasgow. Training is Tuesday, Thursday and Fridays 7pm to 8pm.

Boys back in league action this morning in The GADYFL.

First game up vs Glasgow Atheltic - Boys played really well and it was a good physical battle all over the pitch, we went a goal down before responding straight away with a well worked goal. Boys found themselves 3-1 up at Half time. 2nd half was very scrappy with a couple of moments of quality from our boys leading to goals. In a 5-1 win for the boys 👏👏👏

Special mention for Mason with a brillant save 🧤from a penalty and Seoras finish with the half volley over his shoulder.

Onto our 2nd game today vs On The Ball, boys should have had the game finished by Half time. Created an abundance of chances but didn’t take them. 2nd half we allowed On the Ball to take more control of the game however held on for a 2-1 win.

Another test for our tier 1 boys vs Livingston Academy today at the Set Fare Arena.

Our boys started well and settled into the game knocking the ball about, before Livingston scored against the run of play. Shortly after conceding the boys won a free kick, which Myles placed in the top corner to equalise.

We had a few chances to score which we didn’t take and game was level at half time.

2nd half went much the same way as the first, before we got caught trying to play the offside trap and Livi ran through to score. Our boys kept pushing to get something out the game when we won a corner which Livi half cleared as ball fell to Chris who played a lovely through ball for Harris to finish under the Goalkeeper.

Game finished 2-2.

Well done to our boys at the Kilwinning Rangers festival.

Boys had 5 games against very good opposition, winning 4 and losing 1 game today.

First up was Gleniffer Thistle, boys won 3-1 with Myles scoring a hat trick.

Up next was East End Utd where a rocket of a free kick from Myles secured a 1-0 win.

Onto Mill United where a great touch and finish from Noah followed by another Free Kick from Myles gave the boys a 2-0 win.

Our penultimate game was against St Cuthberts, this one we hit the post twice and missed a penalty before ultimately losing 2-0.

Before our last game which was for me game of the day. Goals from Cruz and Myles had us 2-1 up before Kilwinning found another equaliser, game looked to be petering out at 2-2 before the boys forced a corner where Zac headed in to make it 3-2 to the Wolves.

Great tournament, brillant day for the boys as well.

Our tier 1 and tier 3/4 teams took part in the Glasgow cup this morning as their 9a side journey continues.

Boys were excellent this all day, starting with the tier 3/4 boys who picked up 3 wins losing 2. Some fantastic football was played by this group who only had 9 bodies. Every game the boys gave everything they had and genuinely a few top goals.

Onto our tier 1 boys who picked up 4 wins and drew 1. Again some worldies scored by the boys and some of the passing and moving was excellent. Boys are continuine to go from strength to strength just now. We have had a couple of additions to the squad since the summer and the new boys have slotted right in.

Once again well done boys 👏👏👏

A huge congratulations to Lyle and Theo who have both signed for tonight. We as coaches are over the moon for you both.

Lyle has been with Whitacres 4 years and has been an absolute joy to coach. Great attitude and just wants to learn and get better. One of the best left sided defenders I have watched over the last couple of years. Not that we are biased.

Theo joined us last year and has been excellent throughout his time at Whitacres playing in the Cm role he will leave a gap in there for us. Again another lad with a fantastic attitude to the game and enjoys getting forward from midfield.

We wish you both the best of luck in your journey boys. This is just the start for you both. Well done.
