Today we had the honour of representing SITS at Shildon Fc against a very spirited TS Rangers. After leading 3-0 at half time thanks to a wicked corner from our gaffer Dave Mac that deflected off the unfortunate defender, a left footed edge of the box effort by Jay Barber and then a fantastic Free kick from David Kennedy. TS then came at us and got it back to 3-2 with a couple great finishes. Then great tenacity from Ryan Stobbart won us a penalty with the gaffer stepping up and sending the keeper the wrong way. Couple changes upset the rhythm and TS to there credit brought it back to 4-4. But our lads are resilient and with 7 mins debutant vinnie won a free kick 20 yards out which that man Kennedy stepped up and fired in an identical free kick to send us home with the victory. Special mention to Drew Donnelly for reffing a great game.

Today we welcome Hardly Athletic from Leeds in the final game of the national charity cup. Should be a good game for both sides.

These games are vital in improving mental health in the community bringing teams from all over the uk together and showing that together we can come together

Good Morning All

Hope you are all well, i am writing to let to you know of a fantastic new project being delivered by social inclusion through sport CIC and coaches from Sportsworks, As many of you know anti social behaviour in the east end of Newcastle can often cause issues for our cities young people, with a lack of available options to keep them away from engaging in drug and alcohol misuse and hanging around the streets. That is where floodlit football comes in, completely free structured coaching and development football sessions for 16-21 year old of all genders. Taking place at Walker Dome every Friday from 10th of April 7-9pm then on the last Friday of each month we will host the 7aside Floodlit league once a month which will see youth and community projects from all over the city come together to play league matches in an attempt to show that we are ONE city and that postcodes shouldnt matter, In order to ensure this runs smoothly we are looking to work alongside community safety and the police to make this as viable and available as possible.

if you have any young people who would be interested please get in touch and we can get the ball rolling as they say
