Meaningful moments…

This morning Macey trained with the Newstrength

She didn’t just come along…

She trained

Big session
Big outputs

But most importantly a Big heart from Mace.

She done the entire thing…

A session most adults these days wouldn’t finish

Huge intent and even bigger effort.

I’ve taken the kids to the gym plenty.

But not like this.

This was special

It’s hard to explain how much it meant watching her enjoy something that’s carried me through my hardest days and has given me my highest highest.

For her the seeds certainly planted

And for me it’s The start of the next chapter.

Thank you Dylan Cooper for always being there for Len and Macey but especially today.

Thank you to the Newstrength crew

Macey spoke the whole way home about how everyone supported her.

The best

The curse of discipline is that every day looks the same.

The curse of indiscipline is that every year does.

Change is there if you’re willing to choose it.

We often wait for something that’s never coming.

Not much posting… but plenty happening. How goods livn.

Great leadership is something everyone talks about and almost no one actually cracks.

I’ve sat back over the last 12 months and pulled apart everything i thought was great leadership… im still putting it all back together but Here’s 3 things I’ve come back with (plus a bonus that caught me off guard) 👇

1. Everyone CAN be a great leader… but few get there. Good to great is a skill gap. The real key? Being honest enough to spot your own deficiencies.

2. Connect first. I kept hearing other owners say their staff “weren’t bought in.” Most of the time it wasn’t buy in at all… it was a lack of real human connection. Who comes first. The what and the how come after.

3. My weaknesses were strengths all along, just waiting for the right moment. I was good at telling, not so good at asking. So I overcorrected and only asked. Rohan Dredge flipped it for me it’s not about the best leadership STYLE, it’s about the right leadership TOOL for the occasion.

And the bonus one hit hardest…

The day after I got home, Macey asked to train. Not a common occurrence… Wrote herself a perfect session before I’d even walked out of the office. Turns out she’d absorbed way more than I ever realised I was teaching.

Isn’t it interesting that Your best leadership might be happening when you’re not even aware it is.

Lead well. Even when no one’s watching… well especially then.
