match report from today game at home to newton aycliffe juniors

very tough game for the lads to take today . the opening ten minutes we were not the worse even though we went 1–0 down to a silly defensive mistake but you could tell that there was a certain level of determination there

after starting the game off in a poor way with that goal we then changed and try to attack a bit more leading to Kaiden having a opportunity hit off the bar then followed up by Jayden that also hit the bar so unlucky to not score to make it level.

we went into half time 2-0 down with a few missed opportunities the lads definitely could of been in the game if we finished the chances.

from the second whistle we had a good spell Kaiden through on goal and hit the bar yet again and Lucas who ran a good amount of gears to narrowly miss. unlucky again but the effort was there and tried to show something and a bit of inner belief.

10 minutes had passed and we scored kaiden with a great first time finish from the edge of the box to score for us ⚽️

then newton aycliffe score a goal to make it 3-1 and with the heavy defats we have been facing the goals kept on coming from our opponents that lead to our lads heads dropping.

i thought they did very well to carry on playing being 10-1 down. Sometimes some games aren’t your games and we definitely had our chances today and if we took them when we came we could have been in a different position in the game and later stages.

Overall the lads did well to take a other defeat on the chin and there no beating around the bush it’s been a tuff season however i am proud of the lads still showing up every week and giving 100% and trying even when results are going against us. hopefully next season we change and put this one behind us

this morning, the lads were away to south moor juniors who have been on a good run of form. Us lads knew we had to step up a level and have a bit more fight with in us as the past weeks it not been easy for the team.

to say we are proud of the lads as coaches is an understatement they pulled off a cracking first half, first 15 mins Kaiden no 9 scored to go 1-0 up assisted by Henri a solid start that we had in a long time the pressing was outstanding then a few slip up from the defence to lead to south moor applying more pressure however the lads held up well only conceded 1 so that left us going into half time 1-1 with a solid first half luke our goalkeeper keeping us in saving shots after shots.

ultimately, south moor came out after half time applying more pressure we had two lads injured leaving us battling with 8 but jayden one of our injured players battled through and helped us battle they scored 2 more goals leading to south moor winning 3-1 a other loss.

even though we lost lots of positives to take away form the game however a thing that let us down was being first up the ball and getting it away to realise the pressure but very good performance to look back at compare to other weeks.

today’s motm both agreed by players, mangers and parents is luke our goalkeeper outstanding performance made a lot of good saves and stood his ground with some negative performances he was quite happy with himself leaving the pitch after loads of class saves🧤

buzzing with the lads performing a bit better then last weeks it more to take after going 1-0 up but better step in right direction we go again next week 💪
