The Kids Coach

The Kids Coach I help kids feel empowered to make positive life changes, tweak their behaviour & gain life skills. I work face to face and do Skype coaching internationally.

I am known as The Kids Coach, a life coach for children and provide coaching for them on any behavioural and emotional issue that they have. I provide a space for children to talk confidentially about why they are unhappy and help them resolve their problems in an interactive, creative and supportive way. I run tailor-made workshops for kids, write for many parenting, teenage and women’s magazines

and regularly add my thoughts on the world of children and parenting in the press and on Sky News. I am a motivational speaker for children and teenagers, run self-esteem conferences for girls and train other practitioners on many child-related topics. I am the author of ’The Parent’s Toolkit’ published by Random House and have been recognised as a Remarkable Woman – a female entrepreneur who is leading the way in a chosen career path – an initiative backed by Nokia. Finally, I work with high street brands on new products that promote self-esteem and confidence in children.

This is how I roll.

Children have most of what they need within them. It's just finding it or giving them more knowledge so they can make a situation better.

It's never a parent’s aim to destroy a child’s self-esteem. However, there are some things they may do, without thinking, that can have a detrimental effect on how a child feels about themselves.

Here are some ways to help you raise your child’s self-esteem, rather than destroy it. These parenting tips are pretty easy to implement. It’s all about thinking about the words we use with our children to build them up.

Many people experience feelings of overwhelm in everyday life. When they get up in the morning, they feel overwhelmed about what they need to do or achieve during the day. Children who may feel like this every day could think the best way to deal with it is to avoid particular tasks, especially if it will take them a long time or they won’t enjoy doing it.

Many children and young people today feel this way about homework, coursework and projects, so how can parents help children manage their overwhelm and tackle their workload?

Here are some tips for coping with feelings of overwhelm: https://www.thekidscoach.org.uk/how-to-help-an-overwhelmed-child/

There are plenty of children who like to take charge and be a leader when they are with their friends. It’s not necessarily because they want to be the leader, but because they like to be in control, which makes them more dominant.

While this can come from a place of confidence or self-protection, being overly dominant with friends can affect friendships. Most children don’t enjoy being constantly directed, and over time, it can lead to their friends pulling away or avoiding playing with them altogether.

Here are some ways you can help your child to be less dominant: https://www.thekidscoach.org.uk/dominant-children-controlling-friends/

Need some extra help & support for a dominant child? As a life coach for children & teenagers, I can help your child to develop life skills and make positive changes in the way they act and feel. You can contact me on 07961 312 749 to learn more.
