Maiden Newton Youth Football Club FA Charter Standard Youth Football Club based in Maiden Newton in Dorset. Welcome to the Maiden Newton Hawks Football Club.

Located in the bustling village of Maiden Newton in Dorset, our Youth club was founded in 2004 and first entered a competitive team in the Dorset League in 2009. The Hawks is the home of Youth Football for Maiden Newton and the surrounding area. Sharing a Love of the Beautiful Game

Our mission is a simple one, share the love of the beautiful game with the next generation of players. We are club for the community by the community, bootstrapped and run on donations & fund raising. We aim to keep our club thriving through participation, fun and that community spirit that team sport offers. Today our club runs 9 teams across 8 age groups with over 100 members across both mixed and girls teams.

Well done to our brand new team of u8s as they kicked off their season with a trip to Merriott.

It was evident that there were a few nerves amongst the players in the first quarter, which was to be expected playing in their first ever match.

However they grew into the game and the confidence began to flourish.

Some great goals, some great tackles, some great saves and great passing from everyone.

You certainly did the Club proud.💚

The wait is over — football is back! ⚽💚🖤

After the summer break, the Maiden Newton YFC are ready to get the new season underway. It’s fantastic to see the teams back in training, the boots back on, and our players ready to represent the Hawks once again.

This weekend sees the start of another exciting season, with our U8s taking to the field on Sunday for their first ever league fixture away at Merriott.

U14 Girls – Weymouth FC (A) – Friendly

It’s the beginning of what we hope will be another brilliant season for everyone involved at the Hawks. A huge thank you to all our players, coaches, volunteers, parents and supporters for everything you do to make the club what it is.

URGENT NOTICE FROM THE Dorset Youth Football League and Dorset County FA Mini Soccer.
Both leagues have made the difficult decision to postpone the start of the season, due to drought and conditions of the pitches and a number of pitches not been made available.
The season will now start 19/20th September. Due to delays in starting 2 weeks later and not knowing what other postponements we will encounter, like rain for period of time, the DYFL will remove the League Cup Fixtures and if time allows, they will add the complete league cup programme later in the season.
Amended fixtures will add League Games to League Cup dates over the next few days.
The Leagues hope the 2 weeks will give the clubs time, to sort pitches if your pitch is affected and we can all work together to get games played 19/20th September.

Our U13s have been drawn away to Ridgeway Falcons in the first round, with the tie taking place on 11 October. Good luck to all Players! ⚽️💪
