We travelled to Grange Villa this morning in a dead rubber of a final league game. Numbers pulled together last minute and we gave it a good go. Cairns credited with opening the scoring and was always a threat in behind, an own goal levelled things up before a mixup at the back saw Hoggy square for Harley to tap in his 2nd. He got his hat trick 2nd half placing over the keeper after a ball through. A penalty got Villa one back before a home side sending off after Shay was snipered and a breakaway goal saw the game end up 4-2. Outstanding effort from the lads to a man today. Top hospitality back at the Buffs after as well, thanks for the invite lads.

North West Durham County FA Cup yesterday saw two sides in us and Ouston go for it and put on a show for the neutrals.

We started fast and Lewis Martin planted one in off a corner then Joe Wilson found space to lash into the top corner saw us 2 up in no time. Ouston got a penalty back then a great ball in was tapped in at the back post to level up. The lads gathered themselves and Lewis Martin ran amock scoring his 2nd and 3rd before half time to make it 4-2.

An enforced change midway through the first half then two more before the hour mark made our lives difficult but take nothing away from Ouston who were the better side in the 2nd half and got their 3rd from a long ball and 4th from the penalty spot again. We cleared off the line and they struck the bar in the final throws while Reece Michael Barras and the substituted substitute Kieran Harnett passed one back in a great position. Full time 4-4

Penalties followed. Lewis Martin, Kieron Richardson, Kieran Harnett, Stu Camma Hackett all buried theirs, then Luke Thompson saved their 5th for Matthew Agar to win the cup.

Another trophy for Casper's bar, been hard work these past few months and fitness and availability was a struggle last night too so makes success a bit sweeter. Fair play to Ouston as well, top lads and club.

The lads hosted West Rainton this morning needing a result to secure our premier league place for the next season.

We had the better of the opening exchanges without making the away keeper make a save. A clearance from the away side saw the stiker and Gibbo have a tussle and the away side aggrieved not to get a penalty and a sending off. The reaction got their number 9 in the sinbin and the Rangers capitalised. The returning Lewis Martin nodded in a Reece Wilkinson cross for the first, then skinned the centre half from a Billy Snaith New ball to finish well and Bradley Burns scored from a Joe Wilson nod across goal. 3-0 half time and the frustrated away side had seen enough. Good craic in the pub after and thank you for the turnout, best of luck next season to West Rainton, had some good battles over the past few seasons.
