If You Go Down To The Woods Today

Today Pedal Felixstowe had their first ride in Rendlesham Forest for 2026.
The weather was kind for the duration of the ride, all be with strengthening southerly wind.
The trails were dry and a joy to ride...

Well, it looks like the sun is finally out and its stopped raining.

Our next ride will be on the 11th and April and we will be re-visiting out trip to the Forest. We will provide transport there an back and will be looking to do a gentle forest ride, suitable for all abilities.

Fancy riding off road?

We are planning a ride on the 7th February and will be taking a van up to Rendlesham Forest for a ride around some forest trails. We have 2 spaces left in the van, so if you would like to come please let us know, and we will confirm whether we can take you. There will be s small charge of £5 to cover petrol expenses. The ride is suitable for hybrid bikes.

Saturday Winter Warmer

Well the saying goes winter miles, summer smiles!
Well today we had both , smiles & winter miles!
Our last activity of 2025 saw us ride down to Felixstowe Ferry on a glorious sunny morning.
Taking in the stunning panorama of the Deben estuary, you see so much more on two wheels!

Have You Carried Out A 'M' Check

On an extremely cold evening, first snowfall of this winter. Pedal Felixstowe were holding a 'Bike Fix' evening at the Felixstowe Wellbeing Hub.
Tonight's main subject was the letter M, Howards Way talked us through the importance of a 'M' check on our bicycle, especially at this time of year.
Followed by attendees 'M' checking our bikes for numerous faults, some more obvious than others. The last one being a front tyre issue, which had potentially hazardous outcomes.
This was spotted, and a new tyre was fitted.

It was an interesting and enjoyable way to spend a winters evening
Look out for our 'Christmas Special ' ride.

Cycling Activities for 2026

Here at Pedal Felixstowe we have been discussing our plans, and objectives for 2026.
2025 was a learning curve for us, and we feel that we have had a productive year.
We have our own ideas on where and how we can improve in 2026, but we would welcome your suggestions and input.
So if you have any please PM us on Fb or email us on [email protected], or better still come and join us in person at The Hub next Wednesday evening, the 19th November, for our maintenance evening.

With winter around the corner, we thought it might be a good idea to share some maintenance tips and show you how to do a detailed "M" check of your bike. Your bike will love you for it, and get you through the winter months.

Come and join us at the Hub, Great Eastern Square on Wednesday 19th at 6:30 - 8pm.

Numbers are limited so please DM if you would like to come and we will confirm in the normal way.

Sadly, due to the weather forecast, we have decided to postpone this Thursday's ride. We will let you know when the next one will be and fingers crossed for better weather !

Holidays are now a distant memory. Hope you have all had fun. We have been busy on 2 wheels in Eastern Europe and Italy. Back to reality now !

Our next ride will be on Thursday the 23rd October, meeting at 11am at the Hub, Great Eastern Square.

We are planning a ride out to the Museum at Landguard, and are hoping that we can have a guided tour. Further details will follow.

If you would like to come and have ridden with us before, please either drop us a text or DM and we will confirm. If you have not ridden with us before, please DM us and we will send you a form to fill in, or you can access it from the link below.

If you have not ridden with us before, or you have not contacted us and the ride has not been accepted, please do not turn up un-confirmed, as we may not be able to take you with us.
