RACE WEEK | DONINGTON PARK

We’re into the business end of the season!

This weekend Jarrod heads to Donington Park for the penultimate round of the British GT Championship, ready to get back behind the wheel of the #78 Lamborghini alongside Alex Martin.

After a challenging Snetterton weekend still delivered valuable championship points, the focus now is firmly forward. There’s plenty still to fight for and every point counts.

RACE REPORT | SNETTERTON

A weekend of damage limitation, hard racing and some important championship points at Snetterton.

The weekend got off to a difficult start when Alex ran off circuit and made a heavy impact with the tyre wall. Thankfully he was completely okay. The team finished the first qualifying session in P5, but the damage meant Jarrod was unable to take part in his qualifying session, leaving the team at the back of the grid for Race 2.

RACE 1 | P5 Overall • P2 Silver-Am

The team fought their way back to P5 overall and P2 in Silver-Am, despite carrying the additional success penalty. Considering where the weekend had started, it was a strong recovery and some valuable points towards the championship.

RACE 2 | P9 Overall
Starting from the back of the grid meant the team had plenty of work to do, but they kept fighting their way forward, but a 30-second penalty during Alex’s closing stint ultimately left them P9 at the flag.

This weekend summed up motorsport pretty well. Plenty of highs and lows, but also some big lessons that they will take with them and use to come back stronger at Donington.

"A massive thank you to everyone at Barwell Motorsport. The team worked incredibly hard and late into the night to rebuild the car after qualifying. Without that effort, we wouldn’t even have made the grid.

We leave Snetterton with points on the board, lessons learned and plenty of fight left," remarked Jarrod
