The Tilford and Rushmoor Riding Club was established in 2000 and now has more than 40 regular and visiting members drawn from all walks of life and every equestrian discipline.

Unfortunately, we do not have many takers for the BBQ but those that did reply, the majority suggested changing to the Sunday..

So BBQ is now on Sunday from 4 ish. Nick and I will be there regardless as our house is now a building site, and therefore BBQ'S in the field on a nice day are preferable!!

Jo Strange joined me yesterday at my yard in Dockenfield and we have set up a show jumping course in the field. I am therefore going to do some clear round sessions, where members can come along and have a session practicing over the jumps and then jumping the course. Height can be adjusted for each individual. There is plenty of parking at my yard. TRRC will charge £5.00 per person for this and the course can be jumped any number of times.

First session will be from 2.30 on Saturday 22nd August. I will expect to be there for about an hour. You will however, need to book in with me if you wish to come so I know who to expect. My number is 07769907008.

The next sessions will be Tuesday 25th August at 5.30, and Thursday 3rd September at 12.30.

Jo Strange also has a pole and grid session at my field on Saturday 5th September at 10.30 and again on Saturday 17th October. These sessions cost £15.00 per rider. Please ring Jo on 07885 865091.

Subject to the weather we will also host a TRRC BBQ on Friday 4th September, again at Teela's yard. Further details will follow but put the date in your diary.

Don't forget we have our TRRC Open Show on Sunday 27th September at Chase
Farm. Please try and come along and support this!

Ingrid is still running her flat work session every week at the Priory on Tuesdays. These sessions cost £25.00 per person to include the hire of the school. to book into these, please call Ingrid on 07818 061604.

We are also going to run a fun gymkhana on either the 19th or 20th September... yes this is for adults and hopefully will be a bit of fun. Morning start, probably 10.30 and we can always have a light lunch after. Details to be finalised once we know the set up date for the show.

Although we havent had any rain, the field we will be using has been used for growing hay which was cut a few weeks ago. The field therefore has some grass covering, albeit dry so it does have some give. Jo will also take into account the ground conditions with what she does.

Wey Valley are holding their Dressage and Showing Series at Priory next Saturday, 25th July. Details are as follows.

Please do support them if you can and enter a few classes, otherwise there is a risk that they may need to cancel.

Sunday 19th July 2026 10:00 am – 3.00 pm


We have once again booked Stockbridge Farm, Tilford. By kind permission of Nigel and Angela Morland. All abilities catered for! There will be a choice of flatwork, show jumping and cross country – the jumping can range from the most difficult fences for the more experienced to poles on the ground for those who do not want to leap into the air. Cross country is normally done in the afternoons, but for those that don't want to try this then we will arrange another on the ground flat/hack/poles or jumping lesson for the afternoon!

You will need to have a body protector for x country so borrow one if you do not own one (don’t worry, this is for your own safety and not because we expect disaster!)

You need to be at the venue between 9.15 and 9.30 and READY to ride by 9.50 to meet your Instructors. Lessons start at 10.00am. We will have two lessons in the morning and one after lunch so should finish around 3.00.

Please bring a contribution for lunch – we pool everything and then all eat together with our instructors. You will also need to bring cutlery, plates and a mug. If you can bring a chair or blanket to sit on, that would be great. Drinks and biscuits will be provided during the breaks. Also of course bring a haynet and bucket for your horse, and water (water is normally available on site). Happy for non riders/non members/partners to come and join us for lunch.

If you will need to hack to the venue, let us know as we can provide a space to hitch your horse to and can provide the other items you will need for you horse and yourself... Just ask.

Please contact Ingrid asap and book yourself in!!! We can then gauge numbers. We need names asap so we can book other instructors.

We will be sorting groups so you will be kept in your comfort Zone!! with others of similar ability.

The next session of showjumping with Becky Cruikshank willl be held on Saturday 20th June at her yard Nr Chase Farm. She has an excellent new school and has room for parking. The details are below.

The lessons will focus on creating Rhythm & Balance to improve SJ technique (from poles on the ground upwards according to ability/height requests)

Sessions are aimed at supporting riders in making progressive steps towards more consistent showjumping.

All abilities catered for.

£25 per rider, max of 4 in a session.
