🏏 Faringdon Walking Cricket Hub 🏏

After the successful Walking Cricket Launch Event last month, Oxfordshire Cricket is pleased to announce a hub will be running in Faringdon in partnership with Oxfordshire Community & Voluntary Action (Connected Communities), at Faringdon & District Cricket Club from Tuesday 23rd June. The sessions will run on Tuesdays at the cricket club on the outfield, from 11am-1pm throughout the summer.

Walking Cricket is a gentle low impact format which looks to increase participation amongst the older population, people with health conditions including mental health and anyone looking for a new hobby. There will be a focus on staying active, promoting a healthy lifestyle, meeting new people and simply having fun! The programme will help boost health and well being, gain confidence and help people suffering from social isolation. It will connect communities and provide a friendly atmosphere for people to engage in.

After both sides picked up wins last weekend, the 1st XI are back at home for the second week running as they welcome , while the 2nd XI make the short trip to 👏

With the sun set to shine all day, the BBQ will be fired up and the bar open, it should be a great day up at the club ☀️🍔🍻

🏏 The wait is over… the 2026 season officially gets underway this weekend for our senior players at F&DCC!

Our senior men’s sides begin their 2026 seasons today:

Tomorrow also sees our first home games of our Women’s Super 8 Development League season, against 🏏

🏏 One week to go until F&DCC junior cricket returns!

Our U11s and U13s training sessions start next Friday (17th April) and we’re really looking forward to welcoming everyone back for the 2026 season.

Whether your child is returning this year or thinking about giving cricket a try for the first time, we’d love to see them involved. We offer a fun and inclusive environment for boys and girls of all abilities 💚

📅 U11s – Fridays from 6pm
📅 U13s – Fridays from 6:30pm
📅 U15s – Wednesdays from 6:30pm (starting 22nd April)
⭐ All Stars – starting 29th May

👉 Friday 17th April is also our 2026 Season Sign-On Night, with senior sign-on from 7:30pm plus BBQ & bar open throughout the evening — a great chance to come down and start off the season together.

New players of all ages are always welcome!
