Joel has been a real standout throughout October — showing brilliant consistency, working tirelessly in every game, and really stepping up with his hold-up play and link-up work up top. 💪⚽️

His attitude to training and determination to keep improving have been first class — the perfect example of what hard work can achieve.

🔥 The Countdown Is On: Conquering Mount Toubkal for Helix Thistle FC 🔥

Next week, Evren, Bobby, and Kammy will take on Mount Toubkal, North Africa’s highest peak — 4,167m of sheer, relentless challenge, more than four times taller than Ben Nevis. Freezing temperatures, thin air, and punishing slopes will test every step, every breath, and every ounce of courage, strength, and heart.

This is no easy climb, and we are immensely proud of them for taking on this incredible challenge for Helix Thistle FC.

Helix Thistle Football Club 2013s are on the lookout for high intermediate / advanced level players 📈

They do not have a massive squad, so game time is available to players who turn up and put the work in at training. Playing should be the most important part of a young players footballing week having trained 2-3 times ⚽️

They currently have a couple of players trialling with professional youth teams, so the team is one which is going in the right direction, with a good group of players and coaches. Any committed players should get in touch with them for further information 👍

🏆 Semi-Final Match Report ⚽

Dunipace 2 – Helix Thistle 0

Helix Thistle went into today’s semi-final missing a few players, but the boys showed real determination 💪 and gave their all from start to finish ⚽.

The only goals of the game came near the end of each half ⏱️. While we could have done better in both moments, the lads battled hard, showed commitment, and never stopped working for each other throughout the match 👏.

There are plenty of positives to take from today. The boys demonstrated teamwork 🤝, resilience 💪, and the kind of attitude that will serve them well in future games. We’re extremely proud of their performance and wish Dunipace the best of luck in the final 🍀

⚽️📝 Match Report 📝⚽

A battling display from the lads today, especially after a few last-minute call-offs through sickness 🤒 left us with no subs. One of the boys even pushed through illness to make sure we had a full side, and the effort from the group was outstanding from the first whistle.

We matched the opposition for long spells, pressed well, and created chances going forward. At the start of the second half, we were on the front foot and took the lead ⚽, but as the game wore on and legs began to tire, the lack of fresh options on the bench told. The opposition made the most of it late on, with both of their goals coming in the final 10 minutes – a harsh reflection of the work the boys had already put in.

Really proud of every single one of our lads today – the togetherness, the work rate, and the fight right until the final whistle were first class 👏⚽

We dust ourselves off, get back into training this week 💪⚽, and prepare for our League Cup semi-final next Saturday 🏆🔥
