Scottish Open at Larkhall 6th June 🏴󠁧󠁒󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Small but strong grid with just 7 Hondas πŸ’ͺ🏻

Mixed weather conditions made for entertaining races and kept Dad busy on the tools πŸ› οΈ the final they were held on the grid with all drivers opting for slicks and of course the rain started as soon as they drove onto the track, which made the Open Scottish a great race to watch. Some really close racing and even closer finish.

Well done to Tommy’s team mates Luke Hamill racing & Luca Bicocchi racing on taking 1st and 2nd πŸ‘πŸ»

Tommy showed great pace all weekend and stayed with the front runners every race, we were all delighted with his progress.

Round 3 of The Kart Championship at Whilton Mill 🏁

Qualifying - P9 but track limits saw our best lap time deleted putting us down to P16

Heat 1 - P21 ➑️ P17 got a 5sec unfair advantage penalty which dropped us to P21

Heat 2 - P22 ➑️ P21 got a 5 sec unfair advantage penalty which dropped us to P25

Superheat 1 - P22 ➑️ P23 had fought his way up the order to P18 but hit the back bumper of the kart in front on the last lap and spun πŸ™ˆ

Superheat 2 - P22 ➑️ P17 got another 5 sec penalty for unfair advantage which dropped us to P22

All the penalties resulted in us being the repercharge as a last chance to qualify for the final.

Repercharge - P8 ➑️ P1 πŸ†
Video below, hard race for Tommy and may have been the B final but we were absolutely delighted with the win πŸ’™

Final - P31 ➑️ P24 some penalties in front so ended up P22 🏁

Great weekend with mega pace, still work to do with passing and race craft but by the end of the weekend there was a big improvement.

After a tough few weeks at Boyndie and Pfi we decided it was time for some big changes.

Last weekend saw us at Boyndie for Round 2

Random grids so no qualifying!

Heat 1 - P9 ➑️ P3

Heat 2 - P1 ➑️ P2

Heat 3 - P6 ➑️ P4

Final - P3 ➑️ P4

Results look quite good but was a nightmare of a weekend, really struggled with pace - 1/1.5 seconds off our pace from last month. Our results were just down to Tommys driving and not giving in πŸ’ͺ🏻

Looked strong on the first practice on Saturday but progressively got slower all weekend. Full kart set up changes, engines changes and it turns out the fuel we bought on the way up was contaminated 😭 never noticed until Monday in the garage!!

Thanks to Tornado Racing Engines for squeezing in both our engines this week and LMMotorsport for putting the kart on the jig πŸ™ŒπŸΌ

It’s been another busy week to get geared up for Round 2 of The Kart Championship!
