What does being trauma informed mean to us at BOOSTfit?
For us, it starts with learning.
Working alongside theMovement Charity has helped us deepen our understanding of trauma and, more importantly, how we bring that learning into real life. In our instructor training. In our classes. And in the way we support one another.
It has also meant taking time to reflect on our own experiences, both as instructors and as participants.
Recognising that we are always learning, that we will not get everything right, and that being human is part of the process. From there, we make thoughtful changes that help people feel safer, more comfortable, and more at ease when they move with us.
Being trauma informed is not a badge. It is an ongoing learning journey.
•It is about meeting people where they are.
•Creating spaces where people feel heard.
•Teaching in ways that build trust.
•Giving instructors tools to reach a wider range of people.
•Allowing everyone to move as themselves, not who they think they should be.
If you are looking for a class where you can feel safe to be yourself, this is for you.
If you are looking for a class or format that keeps learning, evolving, and doing better, this is for you.
