Fairford Town Football Club is delighted to announce the appointment of Ryan Souter as the club’s new First Team Manager, with Nathan Wallace joining him as Assistant Manager. Nathan Wallace brings valuable experience and a shared passion for player development and team progression.

Ryan and Nathan take the helm following an impressive three-year spell within the club’s development structure, where they have worked extensively with both the Under 18s and Reserve sides. During this period, they have built a strong reputation for delivering consistent performances, fostering a winning mentality, and, most notably, developing a clear pathway for young players into senior football.

Under their leadership, the Under 18s and Reserves have not only demonstrated competitive success but have also produced a steady stream of talented players ready to step up to higher levels. Their commitment to nurturing young and emerging talent has been widely recognised, making him a natural choice to lead the club into its next chapter.

Completing the management team will be Lee Randall who will be returning to the dugout and Olly Begley as Sports Therapist.

Lee is back in the dugout after a season as head of football operations. ‘Rands’ skillset in local football are second to none with previous experience at all levels of the game, most recently as assistant manager under Jamie Reid in the season before last. A big personality in the changing rooms where bringing the gap between youth and adult football can be most challenging for players, this is where he comes into his own. Olly returns for his 4th season as Club sports therapist and we couldn’t be happier about it. His professionalism and standards of work for this level are exceptional. With previous experiences within academy football at Cheltenham Town FC, he looks to build his medical portfolio with another season here at Cinder Lane

Lee Randall and Olly Begley complete a strong and well-balanced management group.

Jody Bevan, Fairford Town Director of Football stated: “Ryan and Nathan have shown exceptional dedication and ability over the past three seasons. Their work with our youth and reserve teams has been outstanding, and Ryans record of developing young, up-and-coming players aligns perfectly with the long-term vision of Fairford Town. We are excited to see him take this opportunity and continue to build on the foundations he has already put in place. Together, they form a dynamic management team committed to blending youth development with competitive ambition at first-team level.”

Speaking on his appointment, Ryan Souter said: “I’m incredibly proud to be given this opportunity at Fairford Town. Having worked with many of these players through the Under 18s and Reserves, I know the potential within this club. I’m excited to continue developing our young talent while building a competitive and united first team. With Nathan alongside me, I’m confident we can drive the club forward.”

The club looks forward to the new season under Ryan and Nathan’s leadership and is confident that their approach will continue to strengthen Fairford Town both on and off the pitch.

It’s also been announced that preseason training will commence on Monday 22nd June at 7pm. All players old and new are welcome and should simply contact Ryan in advance on 07305171083

Fairford Town Football Club today announces that Sam Collier has stepped down from his role as First Team Manager.

Sam departs the Club with the deepest respect and gratitude of everyone connected to Fairford Town, having served with unwavering dedication, professionalism, and integrity throughout his tenure. From the moment he took charge, Sam approached the role with a clear sense of purpose—placing the club, its players, and its supporters firmly at the heart of every decision. Sam had every confidence of challenging at the top of the table this year provided he could retain the core of the playing squad that finished last season incredibly strongly. However, a whirlwind 72-hour period saw many of the squad advise they would be playing their football elsewhere for the coming season. Sam has been incredibly honest with the club in advising that he didn’t think he would be the best man to take the club forward for a rebuild and advised the club to pursue a different strategy.

Club Chairman Stuart Pike commented: “On behalf of everyone at Fairford Town, I would like to thank Sam for his exceptional commitment and leadership. He has been a tireless servant to the Club, and his integrity and determination have left a lasting mark. Sam always put Fairford Town first, and for that, we are incredibly grateful. We wish him nothing but success in whatever comes next.”

Director of Football Jody Bevan added: “Sam has done an incredible job in his short time at the club. As a club we have done everything we can to give Sam the tools to go again for the coming season and push to improve again. Unfortunately for reasons outside of Sam’s or the club’s control, that objective has been turned upside down almost overnight. I massively feel for Sam as neither of us wanted or expected this. But football is a strange beast and has a habit of throwing the unexpected at you. I had a massive amount of respect for him already but that has only grown in the last few days with his honesty and integrity to the club and for that I cannot thank him enough.”

Players and staff alike have benefitted from Sam’s honest approach and his ability to inspire those around him. His tenure will be remembered not only for the effort and resilience he brought to the team, but also for the respect he earned across the Club and the wider football community.

Sam Collier said: “It has been an honour to manage Fairford Town FC. I am proud of what we have worked towards together, and I leave with great appreciation for the players, staff, supporters, and everyone behind the scenes who give so much to this Club. Fairford Town will always hold a special place in my heart.”

Sam was also a hugely influential part of setting up the Supporters club and continued to support what we are trying to do.

The Club has already begun the process of identifying a successor and further updates will be provided in due course.
