What a game.

We took on a very strong Hadleigh side at Wrentham Bowls Club last night in the Semi Final of the County Junior Cup. The green was in immaculate condition and running incredibly fast.

It was a fierce fight from start to finish, ultimately coming down to the final end on the final rink. We held our nerve to secure a 79-77 victory.

Thank you to Hadleigh for a brilliant match. Next stop, the Final!

Great result last night in Junior Cup with a few shots lead at the ‘hydration break’. Thorndon had a strong finish to end up 33 shots ahead at the final whistle.

On to County Semi-Final next Friday now.

Due to the current weather conditions, and to protect our Green, all games at Thorndon have been cancelled. The Green will remain closed until Monday morning.

The Junior Cup at Ixworth on Friday is still scheduled to go ahead at this time. If anything changes, we’ll update you straight away.

What a wonderful day we had celebrating our Suffolk County Bowls President, David Cattermole! With 24 players on the green and a fantastic crowd of spectators, the atmosphere was absolutely brilliant. Beyond the bowls, everyone enjoyed a superb afternoon tea and plenty of time to catch up with friends. A huge congratulations to the day's overall winner, Charles Coulson!
