Before I go to bed i spend 15 minutes tidying up the day. It makes tomorrow so much easier. I don't go for perfect that would be exhausting but I do try and show up for my future self by:
Kitchen - quick surface clean, dishwasher on if me or partner didn't do it earlier. Wipe/ stack any dishes ready to be put in the dishwasher on the side. Quick sort out in the fridge if I've got in me. Scrape any old food into compost.
Quick tidy of front room
Get my little boys bag ready for the next day. Have his lunch box clean on the side to make lunch in the morning.
Upstairs lay out his clothes for the morning. We've started gently tidying up his room together when he's in the mood in the afternoon. Everything has a place and in like with like containers which helps him know where things are.
He doesn't have loads of toys as I've let go along the way but will start to introduce the idea that if he'd like something new, we may need to find something to let of... but only when I feel he's ready to be involved in that. Right now I just talk about it. There must be a good childs story book out there to help with this idea. Any one know of one.
I try to fo the small things that make a huge difference the next day and with the running ofba home and work ad avteam with my housr mates i.e my family ❤️
