3-2 win yesterday for our Lionesses against Stoke Hill ⚽🔴

The Lionesses made the trip to Hamlin Lane with a 12-strong squad, and it was job done — but not without a late scare.

A tight start gave way to a bright spell: a mix-up at the back let us in for the opener, slotted home coolly for 1-0. We doubled it soon after with a lovely lobbed finish, then nearly had a third off the crossbar, before making it 3-0 right on half time with a well-worked close-range finish.

3-0 up and in control, we defended well for most of the second half. But two late strikes — a well-taken free kick and a harshly given penalty — brought Stoke right back into it at 3-2. True to form, we didn't sit back, pushing forward again in the final seconds for one last chance that just cleared the bar before the whistle went.

Closer than we'd have liked, but a deserved win and three points 💪🔴⚽️🔴

Unplayable in the first half, capped off with a superb first goal of the season and great pressing to set up our third. Won every 1v1 and backed it up with great passing and crosses. Positive throughout 🙌

A key part of a superb midfield — relentless pressing, excellent dribbling, and always looking to be positive on the ball 💪

Exmouth United 5-0 Torquay United Yellows 🔴⚽️🔴

A winning start to the season for the Lionesses on a glorious Sunday morning @ East Budleigh! We controlled the game from the off, with a well-organised defence keeping Torquay at bay. A penalty just before the half hour got the scoring underway, before a powerful left-footed strike doubled the lead by the break. The second half saw two goals in four minutes as a brilliant strike partnership clicked into gear, followed by a well-worked free kick met by a perfectly timed run to make it five. Chances came at both ends after that, but a stunning last-ditch save secured a well-deserved clean sheet. Brilliant team performance and a perfect way to start the season 💪 well done girls!

Two goals and two assists to kick off the season — too hot to handle for the opposition this morning. Great communication and superb link-up play drove the team forward 🙌

Coaches POTM - Helin 🏆
Relentless pressing won the ball back time and again, with a great range of passing to go with it. Capped off with a well-taken goal 💪

🏆 Victory in Starcross 🏆

Our Lionesses finished tournament season with a third win of the summer 🏆🏆🏆

4 wins and a draw got us through the group stage, then a 2-0 win over Watcombe set up a semi vs Central - 0-0 and penalties for the 2nd week running 😬 We won it 9-8 after 12 pens each, with Bluebell saving 3 AND scoring 2!

Onto the final against hosts Starcross - another tight game, another shootout, but this time it was job done as Gracie C, Gracie W & Lyds scored and Bluebell saved the 3rd to win it 🙌

8 games played, 8 goals scored, ZERO conceded 💪

🏆 OUR LIONESSES WIN BROADCLYST TOURNAMENT 🏆

What a day! Daisy, Evie & Gracie C were joined by debutants Helin & Jess, plus Darcy (North Molton) & Izzy (MAP) guesting for the day, and went unbeaten through the group (4 wins, 1 draw, 7 goals, 0 conceded, capped by Helin’s last-kick winner v Stoke Hill), then battled past Central on penalties in the quarter-final thanks to a huge Darcy save, beat Cullompton 3-0 in the semi (Gracie 2, Helin 1), and edged a nerve-shredding final v Paignton Villa on pens, with Darcy pulling off two more saves and Gracie & Evie converting to seal it! 11 goals on the day (Gracie 6, Helin 4, Dais 1) and just 1 conceded thanks to rock-solid defending — so proud of every single player 💛 Broadclyst Tournament Winners 2026 🏆👏

Whether it’s training or game day, Gracie is always there, ready to give 100%. She has a great attitude to all things football and has a positive influence on all around her. Added to that, she’s a skilful, hard working player, with a great passing range; which she has consistently demonstrated throughout the season 💪
