Beacon Wanderers had the pleasure of hosting St Austell today for a series of games on a very warm afternoon.

Missing some key personnel and facing a side that has competed in European tournaments, we more than held our own. We learned a lot, competed well throughout, and came away stronger for the experience.

Looking back , since January. 20 players represented Beacon Wanderers, combining for 118 appearances between them.

To record two draws and a win against a well-established side that has been together for more than ten years is a fantastic achievement and shows just how far this group has come.

Every player can hold their head high after today’s efforts.

A huge thank you to St Austell for making the trip and providing such competitive and enjoyable games. We wish them all the very best for the future.

Tomorrow, Beacon Wanderers welcome our new friends from across the border, St Austell, for what promises to be a fantastic afternoon of inclusive football.

With a couple of exciting debuts, some welcome returns from injury, and plenty of footballing talent on show, it’s all set up to be a great day.
