Rough day out there today for Exe Powerboat & Ski Club Boxing Day Rally.

We gave it everything we could right from the start. We very, very nearly made the whole 25minutes. But unfortunately the length of our hull was just too small for the conditions. We stuffed straight through a massive wave and rather a large amount of water stopped us dead in our tracks, it lead to a squeaky bum moment when we suddenly realised we had a mobile swimming pool.

Safety towed us in and we managed to get the water pumped out 'by hand' and recovered the boat. Phew!

Emily has suffered a smashed helmet, lost a Go-Pro and a gained a cracking black eye.

Sea 1 - Absolute Weapon 0
But lots learned. And we deffo know the boat can handle the rough.

A little bit of Exe Powerboat & Ski Club Duck Pond Rally action last Sunday. Last one of the season before the Christmas events. Big Boats on Boxing Day and Little Boats on New Years Day. Hoping to get ABsolute Weapon dusted off for Boxing Day.
