Today marks a special moment in our club’s journey as our Bexley Tigers Women’s team stepped onto the court for their first ever competitive game.

The final score 70-49 didn’t go our way, but the result doesn’t tell the full story. What we saw today was heart, fight, and determination from start to finish. Considering this was our first time competing — and for some players, the first time playing together — the performance was outstanding against a talented and well-organised opposition.

There were stretches of brilliant basketball, moments of real chemistry, and a level of spirit that makes us incredibly excited for what’s ahead. As we build on this performance and welcome back players who couldn’t join us today, we know this team will only grow stronger.

This is just the beginning.

What a day at the London Youth Games!

Today, a fearless group of girls proudly represented Bexley Borough in the LYG girls basketball tournament. Due to unforeseen circumstances, we were only able to field 7 players on the day but what an incredible group of girls, they held their own with heart, hustle and pure determination.

With just 2 subs, our team played 4 games back-to-back without a single break. No time to rest, no chance to recover—just grit, focus, and heart from start to finish.

These girls competed for every single second. They gave everything they had—fighting for loose balls, pushing through fatigue, and staying united as a team through it all. It was an incredible show of resilience and passion.

We were humbled and motivated watching the amazing talent across the other boroughs. Bexley has work to do and we’re looking forward for next year already!

Massive thanks to for an incredible tournament and congrats to all the boroughs heading to the finals. See you next year!

Bexley Tigers Basketball Club has been selected to lead the Bexley Borough Girls Basketball Team for the London Youth Games 2025!

This is your chance to represent Bexley at the biggest youth sports festival in Europe!

Try-Out Details:
📍 Venue: Trinity School, Belvedere
📅 Date: Saturdays
🕒 Time: 3:00 PM

Eligibility:
Girls aged 11–17 (School year 7 to year 11)

Must live or attend school in the London Borough of Bexley
