Ebbisham Sports Club is a friendly, non profit-making Community rackets club situated in Epsom in Surrey and caters for all ages and abilities, from casual players to elite level. Formed in 1937 on its present site, the Club has since grown to a thriving sports club with a friendly Bar/Lounge, three tennis courts, three squash courts and three badminton courts, a gym warm-up area and a pool table.
Numerous social and sports events are held such as quizzes, BBQs, discos, family events, Racketlons, Dodgeball and sports tournaments. It is a Members' club (but also open to the community on a casual pay-and-play basis) split into three sections: Badminton, Squash/Racketball and Tennis. SQUASH & RACKETBALL
The standard of squash and racketball at Ebbisham is suitable for everyone. A league system operates every month for both sports where members play other members of a similar standard and are promoted or relegated at the end of each month. There's annual club tournaments, regular Club nights (midweek and weekends) Junior coaching and teams that complete in the Surrey leagues for men, women, juniors, veterans and vintage. BADMINTON
The dedicated badminton hall has 3 courts, with sprung timber flooring, dark walls and side lighting. Members of a similar standard play on a regular night each week throughout the year in graded sessions from social to elite. A peg system enables you to play with different members during the evening. Membership fees covers the cost of one graded session per week, court time and free shuttles. New members play-in to determine their standard and existing members may play-up at any time during the year. The Junior sections enjoy coaching all year round. The junior badminton standard ranges from beginners to first team county players. Ebbisham is the only Performance Centre in Surrey for elite juniors. Many inter-county matches are also played at Ebbisham. TENNIS
There are three floodlit artificial clay tennis courts, which are available free of charge to the members. These are open all year and in all weather. Club sessions are on a Wednesday evening and weekends and balls are provided free of charge. There are several Mens, Ladies and Mixed teams who play in County leagues. There is also tennis coaching for juniors and a weekly Junior Club session. Each summer an annual Tournament is held and every Bank Holiday Members and Non-Members enjoy a handicap fun tournament and BBQ for all.
