🌟 STRICTLY BY THE LAKES – IMPORTANT INFORMATION 🌟

The countdown is on and we can't wait to welcome you this Friday, 12th June, at The Killyhevlin Hotel, for what promises to be a fantastic evening of glamour, glitz and incredible entertainment in support of Cancer Focus NI.

A few important things to remember:

🕡 Doors open at 6:30pm

💺 There is no reserved seating – seating will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

⏰ All guests must be seated by 7:30pm sharp, with the show beginning promptly at 7:45pm.

🎟️ We have some fabulous raffle prizes up for grabs on the night, so *please remember to bring cash.*

💃 Support your favourite dancers through our voting system:
• £2 per strip
• 3 strips for £5

Your voting tickets will also give you entry into the raffle, although additional raffle tickets can be purchased if you wish.

Our amazing dancers have poured their hearts and souls into preparing for this event, and we know they would love to hear your cheers and support throughout the evening.

💃Females specifically NEED to move heavy loads

🔁And the only way to get there is to turn up, week in and week out, and do the hard thing — the boring thing — through repetition and consistency.

🛑You can’t just dip in and out of this discipline and expect it to work. Strength is built by showing up.

🫶I’m passionate about coaching people to feel confident enough to progress in weight lifting.

🏋️Last weekend I rocked up to the gym to test my 1RM in the deadlift, back squat, chest press and strict press — just to see where I’m currently at.

👏And where I’m at is good for the work I’ve been doing so far: hypertrophy training, functional strength through unilateral work, power training, core stability, and a big emphasis on the hips.

➡️Now it’s time to lock in with some proper training — after my dancing next week!

⬇️If you want to join us, here are the classes where we include a heavy compound lift for 6–8 reps, along with other strength movements:

🏋️‍♀️Monday 7:30–8:30pm
Mixed (males & females) Strength & Conditioning — Deadlift (functional strength, core conditioning, cardio conditioning)

🏋️‍♀️Tuesday 7:30–8:30pm LBTs
Ladies Legs, Bums & Tums— Hip Thrust - (Rdl, Zercher sumo, forward lunges, weighted core)

🏋️‍♀️Wednesday 7:30–8:30pm
Ladies LBTs — Hip Thrust (Zercher sumo squat, weighted core movements)

🏋️‍♀️Thursday 7:30–8:30pm
Ladies S&C — Deadlift (push press, single leg squats, press-ups, squat rows, biceps, triceps & shoulders)

🏋️‍♀️Friday 9:30–10:30am
Ladies Lifting — Deadlift (chest press, rows, split squats)

🏋️‍♀️Saturday 9:30–10:30am
Mixed S&C - deadlift (rows, chest press & split squat)

Don’t worry folks, I’ll pick up after you.

I honestly don’t know what’s wrong with some people. Two of the most basic things my parents taught me were good manners — “please” and “thank you” — and don’t litter.

And to the genius who went to the bother of putting their dog’s s**t in a bag, then left it in the forestry… just so you know, plastic isn’t biodegradable. The 💩is!

❓Here’s why you should come and help us raise funds other than the craic - it’s gonna be a fun night ⬇️

🩵£1000 will keep our centre open for 1 day
🩵£58 will provide 1 hour with our professional bra fitter, Ana.
🩵£350 will provide 6 weeks of counselling sessions for a personal affected by cancer
🩵£60 will provide a family support worker, 1 hour with a family affected by cancer
Some facts and figures for you to see where the money you raise will go towards. Every penny makes a difference.

Cancer Focus NI supports local cancer patients, their families and carers, funds research and campaigns for better health policies.
