π¨πΌβ𦳠P E T E R π
This post is an extremely special one to me for so many reasons so please spare a couple minutes and continue reading on...
Today I went to visit Peter who was my first ever client many moons ago π 14 years ago to be exact. When we met I was just 21 and he was 74. The first gym I ever worked at was only a small privately run gym in Southgate Hockey Club back in 2008 and here we are today where heβs about to turn 88 in a few months π³π
Peter has always exercised his whole life. From boxing as a boy π₯ he was a soldier in the army πheβs gymβd daily ππ»ββοΈ run a marathon ππ»ββοΈ and even to this day he still does his own bodyweight exercises every morning πͺπ½ the list goes on!
Despite all of his life achievements, this man never settles. I just love him. He doesnβt even have the foggiest as to how much he means to me and what an absolute inspiration he is.
Regardless of how many times we meet for a catch-up, he never fails to surprise me with more interesting stories about things heβs done in his life that I never knew of. Today I discovered that during his 40+ years as a London black cab driver, he met/drove around 450+ βfamous peopleβ (that he can remember). I also learned that heβs been married to the love of his life, βBarbsβ, for 62 years - a true gentleman.
Certain conversational topics got him a little teary today but being the true cockney that he is, he said βAlthough youβre like a son to me Boy, a real cockney never criesβ π
Love you Pete, more than youβll ever know π
