A great Sunday morning match, saw our Blues take home a win 🏏

A team made up of experience and younger juniors, some of who are stepping into their first experience of full format cricket. 🏏. The transition from pairs is always a big step, but these lot take it in their stride, whilst our experienced players show them the ropes week in week out 🙌

What a match for these guys! Massive shout out to the U11 Blues. Last nights stats speak for themselves: crazy high Strike Rates at the bat, 5 sixes were knocked, plus an astounding 13 fours. Followed by an incredible 8 maiden overs (shout out for 3 maidens from Mase!) 🏏
Honestly these kids are testament to what is achievable when you know your team mates like the back of your hand 🙌✨

A fantastic team performance today from our U13s over at Congleton CC.

We lost the toss and were asked to bat, meaning to win the game we’d need to score high and bowl out our opposition.

The team performed great with the bat, setting a competitive score of 151 off 25 overs.

Congleton responded well and were strong opposition, but our bowling and fielding was tight and we took the final wicket in the final over to secure a win.

Well done Endon, we’re really proud of you 🔵🟡

🌟 🏏 🏆 Year 5 and 6 girls cricket 🏆🏏🌟

Huge congratulations to our cricket superstars!
It was a proud day for Greenways today as we fielded our first ever all girls cricket team. The girls took part in the Stoke Schools cricket tournament at Barlaston Cricket Club, competing in the North Stoke schools section of the event.
The girls played 3 matches and won all 3, displaying amazing batting, fielding and bowling. It is hard to believe that for 7 of the girls taking part, this was their first ever competitive cricket match - just amazing. Lots of natural talent was on show!
This success means that the girls have qualified for the county finals later this month, where the girls will represent Greenways once more.
It has been a great summer of cricket, both of our Y5/6 teams won their respective events and both will take part at the county finals, this is a tremendous achievement for our school!
Shout out to Mr. Peake for the work done preparing the teams for the events which undoubtedly plays a part in the teams’ success!

Well done to our U11 Golds who won tonight by 10 runs! Congrats to Hugo who bowled and caught out a member of the opposition team, and Daws who bowled a maiden and got a wicket! We love how well our team is progressing together 💙🏏✨

These girls did us proud on Tuesday evening. So much support, teamwork and solidarity. Well done on an excellent game and a win. Shout out to Captain Hats who humbly knocked 39 (a SR of 278!!) and two phenomenal catches for Mill! All the girls were an absolute credit to us and played brilliantly 🏏✨

These guys worked so hard this morning against a well matched opposition! Missed out on the win by a handful of runs. Extremely proud of all of them! Shout out to Ol for his hat trick too 🙌🏏

A trip over to Alsager for our U13s this morning.

A really great , competitive match against a strong Alsager batting order. Solid team work today, saw us coming away with a draw.
