Perfect weather, perfect conditions, and a fantastic day at our Junior Beach and Sea Awareness session last Saturday!

The kids had an absolute blast while learning essential sea safety and emergency skills through fun, interactive games on land and in the water.

Safety meets style! We had a very special visit from Ollie, co-founder of (which he started alongside Olympic swimmer Katy Sexton!). He caught up with the group and checked out everyone rocking their bright new Gogglehedz swim hats. Every child took a high-visibility hat home to help them stay safe and seen during future beach adventures.

A massive thank you to Ollie, our volunteers, and all the brilliant kids who made the day so memorable. Stay safe in the water, everyone!

Expert swim teaching and coaching delivered both indoors and out in a gentle, empathic, simple and methodical way.

JUNIOR SEA AND BEACH AWARENESS SESSIONS

Do you want your child to be safer in and around open water this summer holidays? Then why not book them onto one of my fun-packed, two-hour beach and sea awareness sessions.

WHAT THEY WILL LEARN

🦺 How to be safe in and around open water.
🚩 Tides and currents
🌬 How the weather affects the sea
🏊‍♀️ How to get in and out of the sea in different conditions
🌊 Swimming in waves
🚑 What to do in an emergency.

ABILITY

Children MUST hold the equivalent of Swim England Stage 6 or above or be able to swim a minimum of 25m with their face in the water with confidence.

Strictly no non- or weak swimmers; this IS NOT a learn to swim session.

COST

£32 per child

Includes tuition from fully qualified and insured open water coaches , a free Gogglehedz hat, materials, certificate and refreshments.

An important message to take note of.

Inflatables are great for the pool, but they’re not safe for the sea.

Even in light winds, they can quickly drift you out to sea and put you in danger.

If you’re heading to the beach this bank holiday, leave inflatables at home and save them for the pool instead.

In an emergency at the coast, call 999 and ask for the Coastguard.
