Join us every Wednesday in June as we host more of our girls ‘Into to rugby’ sessions. Open to all, whether you’ve played before, or picking up a rugby ball for first time.

On Wednesday evening, the Cambridgeshire RFU Ladies will travel to Harlow Rugby Club to take on the Essex Ladies.

Ely Tigers Ladies joined with St Ives and Cantabs for the final Inner Warrior match of the season at St Ives RUFC. Great rugby was played by all with the Tigers team the victors, with a score of 43-5!!

Kat P co-captained the team, leading the forwards in dominating scrums with her versatility and strength as a prop, second row and #8, and earned the distinction as Forward of the match. Sam led the attack as scrum half with her speed and deft passes at every breakdown. In her return match after injury, Tracey showed her strength as she drove through the defensive line multiple times so Kat H could turn on the jets towards the try line. Pia made some fantastic runs on the wing, stretching the defense and creating opportunities. And everyone made memorable tackles, despite the hard ground!

We have enjoyed our first season in Inner warriors, and have made some good friendships across all the teams we have played with and against.A huge thank you to our coaches Chris and Buzz for a great season, Steven Wells for his action shots, and most of all to our families and supporters for your encouragement.

Roll on next season, let’s see what in store the Ely tigers Ladies.

Last night the team enjoyed a lovely meal, at Le Spice Ely - one of our club’s sponsors, as a way to say farewell to one of our own Gemma.
Gemma has been a great part of the team, she really is an unstoppable force on the pitch and plays amazingly. One of her first few games scored a brilliant try. You will be missed Gemma hope this new work venture treats you well.

The team made sure to show off our new kit, and they all looked amazing.
