🏉 East Hull U11s – Match Report vs Hull Dockers Greens

A tough Thursday night game at The Willows against a very strong Hull Dockers Greens side. As always at U11s there are no winners or losers — but tonight we failed to score and conceded 3 tries against a team who continue to set the standard in our league.

Dockers showed why they’re such a benchmark, putting on a fantastic defensive display in what was a very physical, competitive match. Both teams should be proud of the effort and attitude on show.

Easts delivered another performance full of grit, determination and heart. The kids are starting to believe in themselves more each week, backing their ability and sticking together even when the game gets tough.

The work rate, the defensive commitment, and the willingness to keep going for each other were massive positives.

⭐ Parents’ Player of the Match: Noah

We asked Noah for intensity — and he absolutely delivered.
He’s finding a real consistency to his game now, and that’s the key to development at this age.
Strong attitude, strong effort, strong example.
Well done, Noah.

⭐ Coaches’ Player of the Match: Euan

Euan (Eubo) has always had a brilliant work rate, but in his 10th league game he showed another step forward.
He’s starting to gain the confidence to move the ball, not just be a battering ram, and that’s a huge part of his progression.
A proper shift from him tonight.

🏉 East Hull U11s Match Report vs Skirlaugh

Last Sunday Skirlaugh gave us a brilliant welcome to the Eastside. As always in Primary Rugby League there are no winners or losers, but East Hull crossed for 7 tries in what was a competitive and entertaining game.

Skirlaugh were a very good team with exceptional attacking shape for such young kids, and they came out firing. Although they gave us a warm welcome, we didn’t really get out of bed until about five minutes into the match. We started slowly, and Skirlaugh punished us with some great play down their left edge.

What stood out, though, was the resilience our kids showed. At 3–0 down they could easily have dropped their heads, but instead they dug in, lifted their effort, and fought their way back into the game. The coaches were extremely proud of the character they showed.

⭐ Parents’ Player of the Match – Mason Dusher
When we went 3–0 down, Mason took it upon himself to spark the team back into life. He led from the front with a real captain’s effort and was a constant threat whenever he took the ball to the line.

⭐ Coaches’ Player of the Match – Blake
Blake put his hand up for the tough carries coming away from our own line and was aggressive in defence throughout. After a couple of years out injured, he’s come back flying — brilliant to see him back out there.

🏉 East Hull U11s – Match Report vs Holderness Vikings Orange

Today we welcomed Holderness Vikings Orange to Waudby. As always at our age group, there are no winners or losers — but East Hull crossed the line 17 times in a strong attacking display.

Credit to the Oranges: they were a proud, determined side who worked hard all game and produced some really solid individual performances.

🔥 Performance Overview

We were excellent individually in attack, with players breaking tackles and creating chances all over the field. Our next step is improving our team involvement so we can take our attack to an even higher level.

Our second row unit — Jacob, Ronnie J, Ronnie M and Scarlett — made huge inroads all game, constantly bending the line and giving us momentum.

Defensively, we were tenacious from start to finish. Our line speed resembled 2025 Hull KR, flying off the line and shutting space down.
Ashton and Oliver tackled well above their weight, handing out shots like Dusher handing out fruit pastilles.

⭐ Parents’ Player of the Match: The Hitman Ellerington
In his first ever game at fullback, he was immense. His involvement was constant, he carried the ball brilliantly from the back, and he hit anything that dared poke its nose through our line. A revelation in the FB role.

⭐ Coaches’ Player of the Match: Chace
Another player stepping into a new position, and the Magic Man showed he can shine anywhere on a rugby pitch. Outstanding communication, organisation, and work rate — he knitted everything together.

Great game against a strong Myton side yesterday. They moved the ball brilliantly despite the weather and punished our early errors with a couple of tries.

Second half was a different story — huge defensive effort and our forwards really stepped up, led by a powerful Jacob.

Parents’ POTM: Ashton – outstanding in defence and a threat with every carry.

Coaches’ POTM: Noah – destructive running and brilliant line speed; the extra fitness work is showing.

What a fun‑packed day of paintballing!
The kids absolutely loved the team bonding — plenty of laughs, plenty of energy burned, and plenty of memories made.

A huge thank you to Gary for the tickets. We’re already looking ahead to the next school holiday… another brilliant activity is already in the works.

Another great display from our East Hull U11s today. No winners or losers at this age, but for the second week running the players ran in 18 tries, conceding just 2. Defence was strong, effort was huge, and the players adapted brilliantly to playing with two halves on the field for the first time.

Big mentions for Ashton, Harry, Louie and Mason, who were outstanding.

Coaches Player: Euan – worked hard to get on the ball and defended superbly.
Parents Player: Harry – aggressive in defence, strong in contact and guided the team around the pitch with confidence.
