🏏 Elsecar Stingers vs Barnby Dun 🏏

A fantastic Sunday morning for the Stingers as they secured a well-deserved victory over Barnby Dun with a brilliant all-round team performance.

With the ball, there were some outstanding contributions across the side. Maddie A and Holly C sponsored by Paul Carnall Plumbing and heating claimed 2 wickets each, while Gracie B and Claire R chipped in with a wicket apiece to keep the pressure on throughout the innings.

The batting display was equally impressive. Eva Lane led the way with a superb top score of 34, supported by Holly C with 17, Michelle M with 11, and Meg with 10, helping the Stingers put together a strong total.

Most pleasing of all was the teamwork, encouragement and positive energy shown by everyone. A great result and another example of how hard work at training is paying off.

Elsecar Stingers were back in action on Sunday against Bradfield. Unfortunately it wasn’t our day on the result side, but there were still plenty of positives to take from the game and lots of effort shown right through the team.

A great contribution with the bat from Sophie A sponsored by P1 Drive School scored 19, alongside Meg L sponsored by Michelle Clarke-Stables artist and Sculptor with a strong 22 runs to help keep the scoreboard moving.

A tough result for our ladies team at home to Whitley Hall this evening, losing by 15 runs, but what a great game of cricket it was 👏🏏

The effort and determination from the whole team was brilliant from start to finish, with everyone battling hard right until the final ball. Huge credit to Whitley Hall for a competitive match played in a great spirit 💪
