Match Report | Elsecar Stingers vs Pen*stone

The Elsecar Stingers were back in action on Sunday against Pen*stone in another great game of cricket.

Despite a strong effort from the team, the Stingers fell short by 55 runs. There were plenty of positives to take away, with some great individual performances.

With the bat, Molly W top-scored for the Stingers, showing great determination, while Maddie A also contributed with an important innings.

With the ball, a special shoutout to Maddie A, who took 1 wicket and helped keep the pressure on Pen*stone.

🏏 MATCH REPORT: Elsecar Stingers Ladies vs. Parkhead Panthers 1 🏏
It was a hard-fought battle on Sunday for our Elsecar Stingers team against a tough Parkhead CC side. Despite a fantastic team effort and some brilliant individual displays, the Stingers narrowly missed out as Parkhead took the win by 10 runs (108/3 to 98/3).

Today we celebrate all the dads, stepdads, grandads, partners, family members and father figures who have supported us, encouraged us and shared so many special moments along the way.

Cricket is more than a game, it's about friendships, laughter and memories. From those first catches in the garden to cheering from the boundary, many of our favourite memories have been made with the people who have helped us grow and enjoy the sport we love.

We know Father's Day can bring a mix of emotions. For those whose dads are no longer with us, we remember them with love and gratitude. The memories they gave us, the lessons they taught us and the support they showed continue to be part of our journey.

Whether you're spending today making new memories or remembering treasured ones, we wish everyone a peaceful and happy Father's Day.
