If you’ve ever spotted a blue bib at one of our rides and wondered what it means, we’ve shared a new article explaining exactly how the Para bib is allocated – and why it matters. 💙🐴

The blue bib isn’t a label. It’s a safeguard.

It helps ensure that riders who may need additional support are clearly identified to officials and volunteers, so participation can be safe, smooth and stress-free.

In the article, we explain:

🔹 How individual accommodations are assessed and agreed
🔹 When escorts or crew may be compulsory – and when they’re optional
🔹 Why clear pre-ride information empowers independence
🔹 How the system balances inclusion, fairness and welfare

As your National Governing Body, horse and rider welfare sit at the heart of everything we do. The Para bib system is designed to provide support without stigma – so that every rider has the opportunity to explore, achieve and enjoy the journey with their horse.

Most Para riders compete seamlessly alongside able-bodied competitors. Many adjustments won’t be visible – but the support is there when it’s needed.

We have had some requests for Bib Numbers, these will be issued after close of entries.
