You know things are going to get rowdy in Rotterdam when the EHC L2s don the 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 kit and head out to the World Masters Hockey World Cup to represent Scottish Masters Hockey and our club in the Scotland O50 and O40 teams! Inspiring to see so much Heart 🫶 on the pitch in every game and plenty of Community spirit with the opposition teams after each game 👏🍻 That's what Hockey is all about 🏑😍
Wishing the W50s and Coach Penders luck today as they face off against England in the quarter finals! Mega proud of you all! 💪

Our 4th EHC Hockey Summer Camp was full of fun, laughter🤪, skills 🏑, rain🌦️, sunshine ☀️, water fights 🔫 and everything in between! And our EHC coaches were legendary role models in sharing our 🚨LIGHTHOUSE Values of Excellence⭐, Heart ❤️ and Community 🫶 as they worked hard to make each day a special experience for our Hockey Champions 👏 Thanks to everyone who brought the vibe everyday and contributed to make this the best EHC Hockey Summer Camp yet! 😘

After a week of coaching at our EHC summer hockey camp, our EHC-ers donned their 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 and national kits and stepped out on the international stage at their respective 8 Nations tournaments. Lots of learning, plenty of experience gained and tons of fun had throughout - things we love to hear about 😍 Well done to all the 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 teams and a special high five 🖐️ to our Aspiring reps: Ellie OC, Amelia and🖐️ to our Emerging reps: Julia MdB and Tiff S for doing us proud on and off the pitch 🫶

PART 2: EHC Club Awards vibes hit the Apex Grassmarket on Saturday 13 June, with everyone dressed up in their Sunday best, along with their dancing shoes, ready to celebrate SUCCESS!
Our coaches nominated awards-winners, guided by the Lighthouse values:
Excellence - a club member who consistently demonstrates being ready to perform at their best in the moment and inspires those around them to be their best.  They are very motivated and motivate others, to strive for ever higher standards.
Heart - a club member who is committed to their own development and the shared success of team mates, demonstrated by regular attendance at training and fixtures. They always bring wholehearted effort; a person everyone wants on their team every time.
Community – a club member who brings people together, volunteers their time and effort to add value to the club, and promotes the pride and passion associated with the club Lighthouse Values. They are likely to contribute outside their own team or group.
A fun evening had by all, with good food, dance, laughter and singing! Thanks to Angela Davieand her team of helpers for decorating the venue and providing the games on the evenings, and to the O'Cs for organising the raffle prizes. We have a prize draw with a difference.

We're raising money to expand opportunities for youth hockey in schools and communities in the South and West of Edinburgh.

Craig Gordon, Scotland's World Cup goalie has kindly signed and donated one of his jerseys, which has been framed.

What a treat to see our EHC players represent Scotland and our club with so much Heart ❤️ at the Ulster Series this weekend. We're super proud of their achievements and it makes our Hearts full to know we've been on the pathway with them for many years, cheering and supporting them, and will continue to do so, onwards and upwards 👊

We hope you’re all ready for our Annual Club Dinner & Awards Night!

A friendly reminder to make sure you’ve got your tickets and have selected your menu choices. 🍽️

We’ll also be hosting a raffle on the night and are looking for prize donations – so have a clear out of those cupboards and bring along anything you can contribute! (Please see recent comms on Pitchero for contact details) 🍾

And of course, we’ll be bringing back some of our OG club games! 🏋🏻‍♀️ Make sure to bring some cash or coins if you’d like to join in and be in with a chance of winning 🏆

What a great day out for all our u8, u10, u12 and u14 EHC teams who had an absolute ball 🏑 at the Festival of Hockey today. Massive thanks to parents and coaches for all their enthusiasm 🥳 and support 👏 of all our wee champions 💪 out on the pitches, despite some challenging weather at some points 🌦️. But the sun 🌞 shone for most of the day and the energy levels were high, all the right ingredients to cook up a fun-filled day with pals on the astro. 🤸🤸
Thanks to all the Inverleith organisers, umpires, admin and staff 🤓 who worked their socks off to make the day a success. These photos show the teams having a total blast 💥 after a brilliant day of hockey! all in play today!
