Gogarburn Golf Club

Gogarburn is a 12 Hole Parkland course, just off the Edinburgh to Glasgow A8 and very close to Edinburgh Airport. Non members welcome.

We boast some of Edinburgh’s trickiest holes with an abundance of trees and water to keep things interesting. Located just off the Edinburgh to Glasgow road (A8) this parkland course offers an enjoyable game amid beautiful Midlothian scenery. It is only a short distance from the airport and is easily accessible from all areas. Founded in 1975, it features just 12 holes for a truly unique challenge of golf throughout the year.

Here are the results of the Gents Open Tournament 2026.
106 players played and submitted a score today in conditions that got tougher as the day went on!!

Firstly a MASSIVE thank you to Stellar Omada and Colin Frame for sponsoring the day!

Thank you to Moira and Alison who looked after everyone very well in the clubhouse.

A huge thank you to Club Captain Kenny Fegan, Moira Brown (Club Secretary), Ladies Vice Captain Karen Gloag, David Hutchinson (Council Member) Bill McLean, Alison O'Donnell and Alastair Brown for all their efforts on the day and in preparation for the day. It's a real team effort to make these days happen and the help from the above people meant the day was possible! Thank you again.

Lastly, thank you all 106 players for supporting our Open this year. Congratulations to all the winners. Special mention to Gregor Russell our Head Greenkeeper who slapped it round and won first prize today 😂. All vouchers will be sent to the winners home clubs early next week.

We hope to see you all again in 2027!⛳️

We’re pleased to let members know that new access steps have now been installed into the 1st tee.

This improvement has been carried out to provide safer, more stable access for golfers, particularly during wet conditions and through the winter months when the bank can become slippery and worn. The new structure also helps protect the surrounding turf by reducing foot traffic damage on the slopes leading onto the tee.

These sandstone steps were found in the woods to the right of the 10th hole and we believe it may have been an access point into the back of the old Hanley Lodge Manor House that was situated there for some hundreds of years. We felt it would be a nice touch to unearth the steps and give them a new lease of life while also paying homage to what stood here before it was a golf course. The project is unfinished and we will revisit it after this season but we are looking at different ways to tidy up the 1st tee and present a great looking feature.

Thank you for your patience while the work was completed, and we hope the new access point improves both safety and presentation in this area of the course⛳️💚
