As part of Meadows Fest, we're hosting Bute at an unusual 'home' ground. Grass is cut, lines are added and goals are moved. Come down and make it all worthwhile! We'd love to see as many of you as possible shout on the Blue & Gold

Match Report - Ardnamurchan vs Tayforth ๐ŸŸจ๐ŸŸฆ

A great win and trip to play Ardnamurchan for the Tayforth Ladies at the weekend, finishing 2 Ard and 7 Tayforth.

5 of the girls had stayed at Glen Coe on the Saturday night, making the most of their penultimate game of the season with a relaxing dinner, drinks and movie social at an air bnb before driving up to Fort William and back round the peninsula given the ferry wasnโ€™t running. Shout out to Iona who made the full journey, there and back, on the Sunday.

Tayforth started strong with a lot of possession, testing the Ard goalie a number of times. Iona scored first, after her penalty hit the top of the bar and rebounded back to her for a powerful second strike. Thereafter Joey was regularly picking up passes at the edge of the D and battling through to ensure the ball hit the back of the net 4 times, with the first half finishing 5-0.

The lack of Tayforth subs and Ardโ€™s change in tactics reaped some reward for the home team early on in the second half as they scored 2 goals. But, Tayforth didnโ€™t let it get away from them with a high lofty goal from Maddy in midfield and another strong strike from Iona, who came out of goals for the final few minutes of the match to make it 7-2.

Great possession, hitting and communication from the Tayforth women, and a huge thanks to our hosts for playing 6 aside and putting on some lovely food after!

Tayforth Ladies Shinty travelled to Lochgilphead today to play Dunadd Camanachd this afternoon. The result ultimately wasn't in their favour with Dunadd coming away winners 5-1.

The ladies lined up with Esme playing excellently in midfield, Kathryn putting in a good display in goals, Captain liz and Iona in defence and new player Rosie had her first game up front with Maddy who was tayforths goalscorer today.

Lots of positives to take into our next game! ๐ŸŸจ๐ŸŸฆ
