CONTINUALLY CHALLENGE YOURSELF! 👊🏼

Training with people more experienced than you can deliver multiple benefits and learning points -

1. You’ll gain an honest outside
perspective from that person. What
he/she observes from watching you
train.

2. Accountability within that session.
Having someone there to push you
in that session often begs the
question.. could I be doing a little
more when training on my own?

3. Learn from observation. This is
simple, just watch and learn. Pick
up little things that you notice, their
mindset and body language when
walking into a lift, their technique &
their intensity etc.

Ask questions, be willing to learn and onboard new information.. with an open mind you’ll never leave that session having learned nothing.

ANNOUNCEMENT 📣

I am absolutely buzzing to announce that I’m finally able to increase my capacity and devote my time & energy to 1-1 Personal Training again 🙌🏼

All sessions will be based at 📍

I pride myself on providing a completely individualised coaching experience to help each Client I work with achieve each and every one of the goals they set within the gym AND just as importantly out-with the gym 📈

Since 2020 I have worked with a multitude of people on improving their movement, increasing strength, building muscle & losing body fat through excellent coaching and education.

How & when I progress my strength 📈

HOW: Set rep ranges, in this case 4-6 as a top set. When I perfect 6 reps on this exercise, that’s the green light to add weight.

WHEN: If I get 6 but form is sloppy, I don’t add weight until it’s safe to do so.

It’s kept as simple as that. Form remains the key, not aimlessly chasing number professions on a piece of paper.

New exercises should progress pretty regularly for the first while, ride that wave as long as you can 🏄‍♂️

Week 1: 3 plates - 7 reps ✅
Week 2: 3.5 plates - 5 reps ❌
Week 3: 3.5 plates - 6+2 ✅
Week 4: 4 plates - 4+1 ❌
Week 5: 4 plates - 5+1 ❌
Week 6: 4 plates - 6 ❌ (hips came off the pad on 3 reps. Weight stays the same until I complete 6 reps as smoothly as I’d like.
