Ashrey Club Gives Back to the Community – Supporting the Lightpoint Church Foodbank at the Watling Centre!
We're brimming with pride at Ashrey Care and Ashrey Club! We recently had the wonderful opportunity to support the Lightpoint Church Foodbank right here at the Watling Centre, and our members absolutely embraced the challenge.
The Lightpoint Church Foodbank does incredible work each month, supporting local individuals and families in need, and our Ashrey Club members were deeply inspired to help. As part of our commitment to providing engaging and inclusive activities for adults with learning disabilities, this initiative allowed our members to truly connect and give back to the community.
With immense enthusiasm, our club members sprang into action, collecting a fantastic array of essential items. From food supplies and toiletries to household essentials and everyday necessities, their generosity shone through! Many members brought thoughtful donations from home, and to make an even bigger contribution, the group organised a special shopping trip to purchase additional items.
This experience was so much more than just gathering supplies. It was a valuable opportunity for our members to build confidence, enhance their teamwork skills, make decisions, and feel the immense pride of contributing to something truly positive within our community.
We are incredibly proud of every single member who took part. Their efforts and kindness will make a tangible difference to the people and families who rely on the foodbank.
