Been working with George on details to insure he can retain possession of the ball in 1v1 situations, whether pressured or opponent is standing off.
Here you see from the cut down version (3x1 mins) the keys Development areas:
⭐️ Keeping the ball close to feet to allow sudden shifts to eliminate the poke of the defender.
⭐️ When facing up, positioning the ball in a neutral position to give ability to go both ways, and disguise intentions.
⭐️ Small cuts/shift of the ball with inside of foot to protect and keep the ball safe.
⭐️ Using upper body to disguise dribbling intentions.
⭐️ Focused look at defenders lower limbs.
⭐️ Timing of skills/change of direction in relation to defender engagement/pressure.
⭐️ Changes of speed to draw-in, unbalance, and slow down the defender.
⭐️ Attacking blindside of defender and movement of the ball to create space behind the defender to exploit.
Great work for GM looking forward to seeing more development.
