FREE GIG ROWING TASTER SESSION

Join Looe Rowing Club on June 23rd for a FREE taster session in one of their famous gigs - as part of the 2026 On The Water Week, sponsored by Black Dog Marine.

This is a unique opportunity to have a go in one of Cornwall’s most iconic rowing boats, once used to pilot larger vessels into harbours & ports around the coastline.

The session will run from 6pm to 8pm on June 23rd (weather permitting). There will be an opportunity to learn all about the Cornish Pilot Gig and everyone will have a 15min row in the bay.

With sunny skies returning for the weekend…… it’s time to take to the water again.

Our friends at Looe Self Drive Boat Hire will be operating from 1pm on Friday, with ideal tides to explore Looe River as captain of your own vessel!

Today at Boconnoc House and Estate - the gardens are open in aid if Marie Curie.

This is one of Cornwall’s most prized county estates and the gardens at this time of year are just stunning.

Open 2-5pm, there are Choirs, Stalls & Refreshments too.
