What a fantastic Sunday! 🌊

A huge thank you to Looe Rowing Club for inviting Oars Of Thunder to share the story of our Atlantic row at their community event at RNLI Looe Lifeboat Station. It was a real privilege to spend the afternoon with so many people who share our love of the sea.

One of the highlights was hearing Eden from the Ocean Conservation Trust talk about the amazing Bluemeadows seagrass restoration project taking place right here in Looe bay – the very waters where we spent countless hours training for World's Toughest Row 🌿

It's incredible to think that while we were preparing to row 3,000 miles across the Atlantic, this vital underwater habitat was thriving beneath us.

A huge thank you as well to everyone who made a donation to our GoFundMe page in support of the RNLI. Your generosity will help this incredible charity continue its lifesaving work, and we're so grateful for every contribution. 💙

It's a powerful reminder that every stretch of water has a story worth protecting. Thank you to everyone who came along, listened, asked questions, supported our fundraising, and continues to champion both our rowing community and the incredible work being done to protect our local marine environment.

We can hardly believe it’s been 10 months since we pushed off from La Gomera to begin our 3,000-mile journey across the Atlantic as part of The World's Toughest Row

What followed was an experience that tested every ounce of determination, teamwork, and resilience we had — and rewarded us with memories (and friendships) that will last a lifetime.

From those first few strokes leaving the safety of the harbour to the moment we reached Antigua, salt-streaked and sunburned but elated, it’s something that still feels surreal.

I often think back to how much we learned out there — about endurance, trust, and what’s possible when you commit fully to a shared goal.

To everyone who supported Oars of Thunder — from sponsors and supporters to friends and family who cheered us on across the miles — thank you. 🌍💛

Here’s to the ocean, the journey, and the power of saying yes to the impossible

Brings back so many memories.

It’s nearly been 6 months since we arrived in Antigua after rowing 3,000 miles across the Atlantic… and we still haven’t stopped rowing!

These days you’ll find us in a Cornish pilot gig instead of an ocean boat, but the love of the water is just the same. 🛶❤️

Thinking of all the amazing crews out there right now taking on the .toughest.row – Pacific
