🏏 MATCH REPORT | Hawkesbury CC Women vs Cam CC Ladies 💛

Cam CC Ladies produced a fantastic all-round team performance on Sunday, securing a superb 22-run victory away at Hawkesbury CC despite travelling with only 10 players.

After winning the toss and electing to bat, Cam faced some early setbacks, but Captain Claire Moran and Leeanna Ashford combined to steady the innings and guide the team towards a competitive total.

Claire played a composed innings of 21, while Leeanna remained unbeaten on 31, helping Cam finish on 102-5 from their 20 overs. Their partnership proved crucial in giving the bowlers a total to defend.

With the ball, Cam applied pressure throughout the innings and were backed up by an excellent fielding performance, ensuring Hawkesbury were restricted to 80-8 from their 20 overs.

🏆 Player of the Match: Diane Duxbury

Diane produced a sensational spell of bowling, finishing with outstanding figures of 5-10 from her 4 overs, including a maiden. Her ability to strike at crucial moments ripped through the Hawkesbury batting line-up and laid the foundations for a memorable Cam victory.

Not only did Diane’s five-wicket haul earn her a well-deserved Player of the Match award, but it also secured her first 🧢 Baggy Green of the 2026 season, a fantastic achievement and richly deserved recognition.

Rosie Dimery also impressed with the ball, claiming 2-15 from her 4 overs, while Clair Mercer chipped in with a wicket of her own.

The fielding effort was equally impressive, with Claire Moran leading the way with three catches, while Sarah Meakings and Rosie Dimery also held onto important chances. Those catches ensured the pressure created by the bowlers was rewarded and played a key role in the victory.

Most pleasing of all was the team performance. To travel with only 10 players and still produce such a disciplined display with bat, ball and in the field shows the character, commitment and belief growing within this squad.

A brilliant effort from everyone involved and another positive step forward for Cam CC Ladies. 💛🐸🏏

It’s another away day for the Cam CC Ladies as we travel to Hawkesbury CC for our latest T20 fixture.

After some encouraging performances and plenty of positives to build on, the squad are looking forward to another opportunity to get out on the field together and represent Cam Cricket Club.

Claire Moran leads the side, supported by Vice-Captain Rosie Dimery, as the team looks to continue developing and enjoying their cricket throughout the season. 👏

🏏 MATCH REPORT | Marshfield CC Women vs Cam CC Ladies 💛

A tough result on the road for Cam CC Ladies, with Marshfield CC claiming a 9-wicket victory, but there were still plenty of positives to take away from the afternoon.

After being put into bat, Cam posted 87-8 from their 20 overs. Marlene Brown, sponsored by George Salter Sports Therapy, and Liv Hughes top scored with 24 runs apiece, while Rosie Dimery added a valuable 13 and Diane Duxbury chipped in with 5.

The ladies never stopped competing in the field and showed great determination throughout the chase.

🏆 Player of the Match: Tara J

A thoroughly deserved award after an outstanding all-round contribution in the field and with the ball. Tara returned excellent figures of 4-1-20-0 from her 4 overs, bowled with great control and accuracy, and was a constant threat throughout. She also saved numerous runs with some excellent boundary fielding and took a crucial catch, making her impact felt in every aspect of the game. 👏

A special mention also goes to Harriet Alford, who made her debut for Cam CC Ladies. We hope you enjoyed your first game and we look forward to seeing you in many more yellow shirts in the future! 💛🏏

While the result wasn’t what we were hoping for, the effort, attitude and commitment shown by everyone never wavered. We’ll regroup, keep working hard and come back stronger next time.

With a mix of experience, energy and plenty of team spirit, the squad are looking forward to another exciting afternoon of cricket and the opportunity to keep building momentum as the season progresses.

The wait is over… Cam CC Ladies have their first win of the season! 🎉

In a closely fought T20 encounter at The Shed, Cam held their nerve to secure a brilliant 5-run victory over Stroud CC, marking not only the team’s first win of 2026 but also the first victory for the new T20 leadership team of Captain Claire Moran and Vice-Captains Rosie Dimery and Amelie Bouvier. 👏

After winning the toss and electing to bat, Cam posted a competitive 124-5 from their 20 overs.

Emma Vincent led from the front with a superb unbeaten 48 from 47 balls, striking 8 boundaries and anchoring the innings beautifully. She was well supported by Marlene Brown, sponsored by George Salter Sports Therapy, who finished unbeaten on 30 from 26 balls, ensuring Cam finished strongly.

Defending 124, Cam faced a tough challenge as Stroud reached 88-1 before the game swung dramatically in Cam’s favour.

Step forward Vicky Mansell-Mei! 🔥

Vicky produced a match-winning spell of 4-10 from her 4 overs, including a maiden, ripping through the Stroud batting line-up and reducing them from 88-1 to 97-4. It was a spell that proved crucial in deciding the outcome of the match.

The fielding effort was equally impressive, with a special mention to Tara J, who was outstanding in the field, saving numerous runs and taking a crucial catch at a key moment in the game. 👏

With Stroud needing 6 runs from the final over, Cam held their nerve brilliantly to restrict the visitors to 119-4 and seal a memorable victory.

🏆 Player of the Match: Emma Vincent

A fantastic all-round performance from Emma, carrying her bat for 48* and then returning to bowl four economical overs. A well-deserved award and a huge contribution to Cam’s first win of the season.

A massive congratulations to every player who contributed to this result. The hard work, positivity and belief have been building week after week, and today the team got the reward they deserved.

MATCH REPORT | Cheltenham CC Women’s 2nd XI vs Cam CC Ladies 1st XI 💛🏏

A tough afternoon for Cam CC Ladies on the road at Cheltenham, but a performance packed full of character, determination and plenty of positives to build on 💪🏼

After winning the toss and electing to bat first with only 10 players available, Cam battled hard to post 129 all out from 29.1 overs in very warm conditions ☀️

There were important contributions right throughout the innings, with Liv Hughes top scoring with an excellent 32 from 31 balls, including 7 boundaries 🔥

A brilliant partnership between Liv and Kiara Cullum helped steady the innings and keep the scoreboard moving, with Kiara adding a composed 24. Amelie Bouvier also continued the fight with a valuable unbeaten 18, while Marlene Brown sponsored by George Salter Sports Therapy added a quickfire 20 at the top of the order.

The effort in the field summed up exactly what this team is about 💛 Every single player kept going until the very end despite the heat and being a player short.

Special mention to Kiara for bowling her full 7 overs straight through 👏 while Vicky Scooter Mansell-Mei impressed with the ball, picking up 2 wickets. Emma Vincent and Isobel Collett also chipped in with wickets of their own.

Although Cheltenham eventually chased the total down to win by 6 wickets, Cam still came away with 2 batting points and 2 bowling points from the match, which was a fantastic effort considering the circumstances 💪🏼

A huge thank you as well to Garazi for stepping in as super sub for the day and supporting the team throughout 💕

🏆 Player of the Match: Liv Hughes

A thoroughly deserved award after a calm, composed innings with the bat, putting away the bad balls, respecting the good ones and helping build the innings beautifully. Liv then backed it up with two tidy overs with the ball to round off a fantastic all-round performance 👏

The results will come for this group — you can feel it building 🐸💚

There’s now a short break before the next 35-over fixture against Brislington on 28 June, but plenty of T20 cricket still to come before then.
