📢 🚨Important update 🚨 📢

**Our Summer Sponsored Cycle Event, originally planned for Thursday 27th August, is being postponed due to unforeseen circumstances**

We know a lot of you were looking forward to getting on the bikes, cheering from the sidelines, and enjoying the fairground rides and giant inflatables! We’re sorry for the disappointment – we’re not cancelling, just rearranging. We’re aiming for a new date in September and will share it here as soon as it’s confirmed.

If you’ve already signed up as a rider or volunteer, your spot is still safe – no need to do anything for now. Thank you for your patience and for continuing to support Red Sky, Denvah’s Diary, and Cheesy Waffles. 💛

🚨 Bernicia residents 🚨 Please read carefully before attending the upcoming skip day

Skip Day Tips (Sherburn Road Bernicia Residents only)



👉🏻Sort as you go — separate general waste from recyclables where you can.



👉🏻Don’t overload — keep rubbish below the rim; overfilled skips are unsafe and can spill.



👉🏻Moving items - you need to move your own items to the skips, please ask friends, family, and neighbours to help you.



👉🏻 No hazardous items — no paint, chemicals, gas canisters, tyres, batteries, or electricals.



👉🏻 Break down bulky items — flatten boxes, dismantle furniture to save space.



👉🏻 Wear gloves and suitable footwear

🎧🪩 SILENT DISCO LITTER PICK — Sherburn Road Residents 🏠



We’re doing something a little different this month! Join us for a Silent Disco Litter Pick — a community clean-up with music in your ears!



Pop on a pair of wireless headphones, choose your favourite channel, and get stuck in tidying up the estate while dancing along to your tunes. It’s a fun way to help tidy up your estate!

👉 Grab your silent disco headphones

👉 Choose your music channel

👉 Join the litter squad

👉 Make use of the community skips (available from 10am, with fresh ones arriving at 12pm)

👉 Ice lollies and drinks to buy from the Pelaw View Cloud Café

👉 Love where you live! ❤️



🚨 Please note: this event and the community skips are for Sherburn Road residents only — we’re not able to accept rubbish from outside the estate. Thanks for helping us keep this a great, local community event! 🚨



No need to book — just turn up on the day! Bring the family or a neighbour or come along on your own. We’d love to see as many Sherburn Road residents there as possible.

**CANCELLED DUE TO UNFORESEEN CIRCUMSTANCES** (we will reschedule in the near future)

We are nearly there!! We hope that all of you who initially put your names down for riding are still up for it.... we will be listing the names this week as a small reminder.
I have sponsor forms at Pelaw View for those who would like to get sponsors.. We are also open ALL DAY, serving food and drinks. Raffle prizes and inflatables. Let everyone you know to pop in during the day to support the riders and donate what you can. ALL money collected on the day will be equally shared between the 3 Charities that you have chosen.. Looking forward to seeing you all..Lets have a great day..
