What a fantastic day of pickleball yesterday as Bedfordshire County took on Norfolk at Batchwood.
The final score was Norfolk 81 Bedfordshire 47, and huge congratulations to Norfolk on the win. Every match was played with brilliant spirit and energy, and it was a pleasure to host such a competitive fixture.
Special congratulations to Emma Christophi, named Most Valuable Player for Bedfordshire — a well-deserved recognition of a great performance.
Thank you to everyone who played, travelled, supported, and helped make the day such a success, and to Batchwood for hosting us. Onwards to the next one!

History in the making!!!

20,000 MEMBERS!
We’ve done it — Pickleball England has officially reached 20,000 members.
Twenty thousand players who have chosen to be part of this extraordinary and rapidly growing pickleball community.
Behind that number are thousands of stories.
People discovering a sport they love.
Friendships formed on court.
Clubs growing from a handful of players into thriving communities.
Volunteers giving their time.
Coaches introducing new people to the game.
Players competing for the very first time — and others representing England on the international stage.
And, after seeing 3,400 players come together at the English OPEN last week, this milestone feels particularly special.
We have always believed pickleball has the potential to become one of England’s major participation sports. 20,000 members tells us we are well on our way — but there is still so much more to come.
So today, we simply want to say:
THANK YOU.
To every member, club, venue, volunteer, coach, partner and advocate who has helped grow our sport — you are Pickleball England.
20,000 strong.
And we’re only getting started.

New to Pickleball? Come give it a try!
We’ve got a couple of spaces left on our Introduction to Pickleball course this Thursday at The Dunstable Centre, 6-8pm.
It’s the perfect chance for beginners to learn the basics, have a go, and meet the club — no experience or equipment needed.
Coached by Martin Herbert

Dear Hunters members,
I’m very sorry for the disruption to our WhatsApp groups today.
While trying to set up a new community for the club, I’ve accidentally triggered a suspension on our existing groups.
I’ve reported the problem and requested a review, and I’m hoping everything will be restored by tomorrow. In the meantime, all sessions and bookings are continuing as normal, and we’ll share any urgent updates via Spond and Facebook.
