49 training weeks until next years Dragon's Back Race. Secured first sponsorship support from the kind team at https://www.uniquebodyclinic.co.uk/ in Braintree.

Their support with sports massage will be crucial over the next 12 months to keep my lower limbs in working order as I hunt out elevation and terrain as often as possible.

The next Residential Trail Running Long Weekend is live.

Where? Milborne Port, near Sherborne in Dorset

When? Friday 17th November to Monday 20th November.

What’s included? Accommodation, evening meals, guided coach led trail runs in the surrounding Dorset rolling countryside and maybe a few surprises? 😊

Likely structure
- [ ] Arrive Friday afternoon - short trail run of circa 5 miles - dinner
- [ ] Saturday - local parkrun (within 20 min drive) - always good to be a tourist 😊 - pm mid distance trail run of circa 8 miles - dinner
- [ ] Sunday - long trail run as a group social pace run of circa 15 - 20 miles with option to stop at 15 if need be - dinner
- [ ] Monday - home time

Plenty of time to build up a bit of fitness (if required) but book yourself in now as it will motivate you to get fit enough (if needed) and there are already 5 places booked with 2 left to fill!

Summer solstice run Wednesday 21st June 11:59pm - meet at 11:50pm Flitch Green Playing fields car park. Free to all.

A spirit lifting night run experience that is this years summer solstice run to sunrise lunartics run. The weather is forecast for clear skies again and no rain which is great.

Don’t fear the lack of sleep - you’ll get over it and have the memory to look back on. Don’t fear the distance as we go at a very leisurely sociable pace with loads of breaks and also there is a bail out point at about 16 miles where we pass the cars again. Making it all the way to sunrise at 4:38am will be about 20 miles covered.

Comment if you plan to come and I post now to give you a chance to make sure you have (a) a head torch that can last a minimum of 3.5 hours and (b) the ability to comfortably carry water and nibbles for the night.

FLITCH GREEN RUNNERS POP UP SESSION #1

Yep, finally I have launched a coach led interval session pop up.

Tonight (Friday), meet at Flitch Green Academy at 7:30pm for a 1 hour outing. Will either be an interval session or a guided 5 mile social trail run depending on the votes of those that attend. £5 and open to all abilities and absolutely anyone on or off Flitch Green.

Just comment below if you would like to come and whether you would prefer an evening sunshine guided trail or Flitch Green Intervals. 😊🏃‍♂️🏃🏼‍♀️🙋‍♂️🙋‍♀️

POP UP FLITCH GREEN RUNNERS SESSIONS.

Very shortly I shall be launching the return of Flitch Green Runners but rather than a set Thursday evening at 7:30pm schedule these will be totally ad hoc and quite a variety of group runs from intervals to headtorch trails to guided trail runs on any particular day or time.

If it’s a soaking wet day and I can’t garden then there may well be a pop up during the daytime as an example.

They will simply be posted in here on the day or just before the day and absolutely anyone can come along at £5 a session.

I will do my best to make the days and times vary quite a lot so as many folk that think they might like to join in will be able to.
